One of our babies have recently been to the arcade where they took an interest in the 2p coin machines therefore, to follow this interest Laura made our very own homemade 2p coin machines! The babies were very engaged with posting the 'coins' into the box. To further this interest we then looked at our wooden posting box where we was challenged with different shaped slots. We also learnt how to open the drawers to find the coins again!

Today the Preschoolers and Toddlers worked together to complete collaborative art. We all worked together to explore and mix the colours to test our knowledge and theories of what might happen next. We talked and develop our language skills by naming the colours we were going to use and how different materials felt like. We also developed our motor skills by using various different tools of our choosing and created a lovely picture made with teamwork!

The toddlers and preschool have been very busy today! They have explored lots of different activities! We engaged in sensory play by painting the ice cubes, this helps us develop our fine motors skills and co-ordination. We also looked at making our own bird feed and used a lot of concentration to thread and during this activity we talked all about the birds and how to look after them. Then we looked at tracing around the animals and comparing the different shapes and sizes we made!

This morning babies explored mark making on carboard using water.🎨🎨
This is a simple activities you can create at home using very little resources to support your child's development.
Babies loved joining in and exploring different shapes marks and patterns, we used our gross motor skills moving alongside the carboard and creating big scale pictures.

Pre-school joining in science experiment and exploring colours.
We predicated what will happen next and encouraged children to take turns during setting up the skittles on the plate. We counted them along way and talked about rainbows and how they happen.
At the end children were able to explain the process and remember all the colours we have used in the experiment.

Who remembers our vegetable patch and strawberry garden?🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓
Well after a long time of looking after all the plants and watering them daily, today was time to pick all those delicious strawberries, they were very tasty. We also picked some potatoes we've planted and we are eager to cook them tomorrow for our lunch. 🥔🥔🍲
