Back to School Reminder!

We hope all our families have had a wonderful summer break!

Just a little reminder that school reopens to children next Wednesday, 2nd September.

We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone back and hearing all about your summer adventures!

What a truly special and emotional end-of-year service. ❤️ So proud of every single one of our pupils as they received their trophies and certificates, celebrating a year of hard work, growth and achievements.

We then had to say goodbye to some of our incredible staff. The love, care and dedication you've shown our school community has made a lasting difference, and the school simply won't be the same without you. Thank you for everything, you'll always be part of our school family. Wishing everyone a wonderful, well-deserved summer. 🌟

Thank you to everyone who came to Read St John’s Primary School summer fayre 🙌🏻 and to all of those families and businesses that donated to help us raise this incredible amount of money 💥

Thank you to all the businesses (tagged in the comments) that donated wonderful prizes to our raffle or gave their time at no cost ❤️

A massive THANK YOU to all of the FORS volunteers who gave their time covering stalls …. It was a very hot one ☀️ 🙌🏻

A special thank you to all of the teachers that helped out on the day … we couldn’t have done it without them …. Especially Mr Rushton in the goals 🤩⚽️!

Finally, thank you to the FORS events team for spending the time, weeks in advance to organise and pull everything together for the summer fayre … we did it 🤩💥💪🏼👏🏻

The parent race never disappoints!

So many smiles, so much laughter and memories our children won't forget. Thank you to all the parents who got involved and made Sports Day even more special. 💙

What a fantastic Sports Day! 💙

It was filled with smiles, laughter, teamwork and plenty of fun! From running races to cheering on our friends, every child gave it their all and showed incredible determination and sportsmanship. Winning is wonderful, but seeing everyone encouraging one another, trying their best and making happy memories is what it’s all about.

A huge well done to all of our amazing children and thank you to everyone who came along to support. What a brilliant day! 🌟

Year 2 have been busy exploring the wonderful world of science!

We’ve been learning all about living things and their habitats, discovering where animals live, what they eat, and how they’re perfectly suited to their environments. 🐛🌳🦊

To finish our learning, we worked together to design and build some fantastic bug hotels, creating safe spaces for our tiny garden visitors. 🐞🏡

So many smiles, lots of fun, and memories made. We’re so proud of the enthusiasm, teamwork, and confidence they showed throughout the afternoon. 💙
