๐ŸŒง๏ธEYFS- What a wet morning!!!! This morning the second Forest school group explored daisy printing. They were amazed with the results!
The children also showed us how amazing they were at cleaning. We used the rain water and washing up liquid to give the outside area a good scrub! Teamwork makes the dreamwork we say!!!๐ŸŒง๏ธ

With over 650 million registered users Fortnite remains one of the most played and discussed online games globally โ›

Known for its vibrant graphics, fast-paced game play and cultural crossovers with everything from music artists to superhero franchises, the game continue to capture the attention of young people โ›

Here is what parents and carers need to know about Fortnite:

Always Online - there is no single player offline mode in Fortnite: it can only be played online - you may find that dedicated young Fortnite players are always less enthusiastic about family times or trips away ๐ŸŽฎ

In-Game Costs - Fortnite is free to download and play but it does offer various additional purchases ๐Ÿ’ท

Virtual Violence - there's no avoiding that Fortnite is about shooting other players to eliminate them from the contest - the violence is rendered in a cartoonish style and there are frequent commercial touches to lighten the mood โ›

Crossplay and Party Chat - Fortnite is popular with many gamers of various ages - crossplay allows friends to play with each other regardless of gaming device while the party chat feature allows them to talk to each other during the game - this can put youngsters at risk of exposure to strangers, inappropriate language and cyberbullying ๐ŸŽฎ

Frequent Updates - ongoing updates can increase screen time and potential for obsession as children try to unlock new rewards before the season ends ๐ŸŽฎ

Pop Culture References - part of Fortnite's appeal is it's ongoing crossovers with other popular franchises - this may expose children to music, language or ideas that are more suitable for older audiences ๐ŸŽฎ

Here is some advice for parents and carers from the National College:

Discuss Safe Social Interaction ๐Ÿ—ฃ

Set Spending Limits ๐Ÿ’ท

Enjoy Fortnite Together ๐ŸŽฎ

Be Wary of Scams ๐Ÿ‘€

The Gruffalos explored and identified the basic parts of a flower through observation and creative printing using natural materials.
We have some great scientists and artists in class.

The children identified;

A daisy
A buttercup
A strawberry flower

Some children saw a ladybird and ladybird larvae and a beautiful red and black cinnabar moth.

Well done ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
