We hope everyone has had a relaxing summer. Tomorrow is results day with both GCSE and end of year results for our pupils at Burnley St James. The school will be open 8.30 until 16.30pm for pupils to collect.

Last night was our annual Awards Evening and what a special night it was! We celebrated the achievements of our year 11s and our other pupils at St James🏆

The team at St James are incredibly proud of the determination, resilience and hard work of all our pupils!! 🌟🤩

We saw the return of an ex TAS pupil and heard all about his story of when he left TAS, it is incredible to hear that he will be joining the police in

What a fantastic week we have had this week. Our Year 11's have undertaken their Silver DOFE Award. This allowed the pupils to develop a range of skills such as communication, teamwork, map and navigation, survival skills plus many more 👏

Absolutely amazing effort by all and a great achievement to take forward for their college transition . Well done all! 👏

Also in school 🏫 this week, we welcomed new pupils who have participated in a range of team building tasks developing on their skills 😀

Boxing was also on the top of the list this week developing on technique and all the pupils showed exceptional progress 👏

Primaries have made an amazing display to showcase their creative and artist adaptation of the battle of Britain. All week they have been completing historic research and lessons behind the battle of Britain 🇬🇧 and have thoroughly enjoyed it 👍 well done your work is amazing.

We have had swimming lessons, fitness circuits, golf lessons and forest school also this week!.

We hope you all have an amazing weekend and we look forward to see our pupils on Monday morning for another fun packed week 😀

We hope everyone has had a lovely weekend 😊

Next week is looking like a hot 🔥 sunny 🌞 week. Please can we ask all parents and carers to ensure pupils have suncream and hats.

We have a fun filled busy week ahead with some of the Secondary pupils undertaking their Silver DOFE, swimming lessons for the primaries, plus forest school 🏫 and lots of sports.

We are delighted to invite you to our upcoming Awards evening 🏆.

Our pupils have been working hard 💪 all year and gaining valuable experience and skills and have achieved some fantastic milestones and successes.

The evening will celebrate ✨ the amazing progress and achievements for our pupils and we would love to invite parents, carers, pupils and partnerships to celebrate with us at the life church.

We will also be celebrating the success of the year 11 pupils who will be moving on to their next adventure!

What a fabulous week this week at ST James. The primaries have done some fantastic science. And primaries and secondaries have completed the Bleep Test which showed some great results. All pupils have worked well across all areas. School is closed for Bank Holiday Monday and will open again on Tuesday. To all pupils have a fantastic weekend and we will see you on Tuesday.
