Ridgewood Community High School

Last week we had a visit from Dawn at Panda Paramedic. All pupils were able to learn basic first aid skills and discuss people who helped us. We think they did a great job- even if we did have numerous staff wrapped in bandages by the end of the day!

Unfortunately, Parents Evening is cancelled tonight. We will be in touch with details of a rearranged date.

School is closed to pupils today due to a water supply issue. Building management are working on this, we will update you as soon as information is received.

👏 Work Experience in Action! 👏
Some of our Year 10 and 11 pupils have been gaining valuable real-world experience this week through their placements at Downtown Community Grocery 🛒
Throughout the week students have developed key skills in teamwork, communication, and customer service - all while supporting an organisation that makes a real difference in the local community.
We are incredibly proud of their hard work, positive attitudes, and willingness to step outside their comfort zones. Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow is all about spreading some awareness for mental health. Let's show our support by rocking something green with our uniforms. It's a great way to show we care and stand together. Remember, mental health matters, and a little bit of colour can go a long way! 💚

One thing that makes the Pastoral team happy, is when we come across an agency who can support our children that we haven’t mentioned before. Who’s going to visit them over the holidays and let us know how it went?
