Burnley students: take a look at this volunteering opportunity.

Is it even volunteering when you get a HUGE chunk of money to spend on stuff??

It still goes down as volunteering on your CV though and you still get the same boost to your wellbeing for helping someone out.

As a mindfulness practitioner, just how calm do I get?

Well, now I can find out. UCLan Psychology department have allowed me to borrow this fantastic piece of kit to track my brain waves during meditations. The Muse 2 headband doesn’t only look stylish (?!!?) it also measures brainwave activity using EEG technology.

Firstly, I notice it’s difficult to forget that it’s there and I am using the Muse app to guide my meditations which is new to me so that might take a little getting used to. I am keen to know if this is affecting my results, only time will tell I guess. Check out my initial results and I’ll keep you posted!
