DFN Project Search Burnley

Everyone is hard at work on placement. Louie has been organising the fridges and ensuring all the dishes and cutlery are sparkling clean. Connor has been using Illustrator to improve the detail on logos and Michael is working on a spreadsheet for HR.

We are very proud of Liam who is starting his first paid job this week. Liam has been on placement with SBFM who clean The Calico Group offices and when a job opened up he successfully gained the role.

Today we've been researching Pride and learning all about it's history. Joseph, Michael and Liam found out about LGBTQ+ role models whilst Louie and Connor researched the history of Pride and Stonewall.

Liam has been hard at work with SBFM cleaners, ensuring that The Calico Group HQ is sparkling. He's learnt new routines and is now covering his own area. Superb work Liam 👏🏻

What a beautiful day for working at Marl Pits Garden Centre!

Joseph is an absolute trooper, he's been moving trees, cleaning the poly tunnel and organising plants.

Louie has had a great first day at Downtown working in the kitchen. He's been learning how to grate carrots, clean tables and getting more confident speaking to customers.

Third placements are all starting and some of our interns are even collaborating through them. Connor has been doing some work with Michael who has started working with The Calico Group Learning and Development Team and HR.

We are still accepting applications for our 2026 cohort but time is running out to apply.
