Just another ex Brunshaw pupil success story…

So proud to see that ex Brunshaw boy and Burnley RUFC player, Jaxon Cole represented Lancashire Under 20s Rugby Union squad against Northumberland this weekend. At ONLY 18 YEARS OLD he came off the bench after 10 minutes in a 19-12 win!

This is no doubt a very proud moment for Jaxon and his family and everybody at Brunshaw sends their congratulations to Jaxon and we cannot wait to see you wearing the 🌹 of England one day.

Just another Brunshaw success story…we are delighted to hear that another ex pupil, Charlie Price, is continuing his amazing football journey and has been awarded a further 2 year contract with Fleetwood Town. A testament to your hard work and dedication and everybody at Brunshaw is so proud of all your achievements Charlie!

🌟 Another of our amazing students success stories with their theatre school auditions!

🤩 Leah has been with us almost 7 years (almost as long as we’ve been open) and has had an amazing journey with us at Act One!!

First attending adamant she was a dancer …… she began her singing lessons with Miss Leanne but couldn’t find the confidence to be taught by anyone else …. To now singing with anyone who’ll have her 🤣 and having come so far in her technique and vocal ability!! She is triple threat and has worked so hard for her much deserved place at her theatre school this year!!

💜 Miss Leanne will miss her lessons with you very much and your presence at Act One will be much missed - but we are so, so proud of you and cannot wait to see you shine in the next step on your journey!!!

💜 Leah’s Act One journey in her words -

Where do I even begin…
Act One Beginners has been my home now for over 6 and a half years and what an utterly amazing time it has been.

From the moment I first walked through the doors at Greenbrook and was greeted by Leanne and Greg, I felt like part of a family. Act One was the first place I truly felt like I belonged. Along my journey I have made so many incredible friendships, been taught by amazing teachers and met so many incredible people. I have also had the honour to help teach classes across the school. It’s definitely going to be hard to say goodbye to all the students I’ve had the honour of teaching every week.

I have also been fortunate to experience a range of incredible opportunities over the years. From being taught by inspiring industry professionals during the annual intensive summer school, to taking drama, musical theatre, and solo singing lessons. Each experience has helped me develop confidence, resilience, and performance skills. I am especially grateful for the opportunity to play Queen Iduna in Act One’s 2024 production of Frozen JR.

I also have to give a shoutout to all the tutors that have ever taught me, whether it was over a long period of time or just a single session, especially Leanne. Leanne hasn’t just been my teacher but also a true inspiration and mother figure to myself. Whether we were having a heart to heart or spending the whole lesson making jokes and giggling our heads off, Leanne has always been there for me. There are no words to describe how much I will miss our lessons.

I will forever cherish the memories I have made with Act One’s Beginners. It’s definitely going to be very strange to not see my Act One family every week.

I am very grateful and excited to say that in September I will be Studying on the BA Hons In Musical Theatre Performance course at The Hammond in Chester. I could’ve have made it this far without the help and support from everybody at Act One 💜💜
