We were also delighted to welcome Peter Williams from Drumbeat UK, who explained how our fundraising will help children in Uganda. Thank you to all our children, families and staff for making the day such a success! 💕🙌

📚✨ Today, we were delighted to welcome the inspirational author Stuart Reid to our school as part of our National Year of Reading celebrations! ✨📚

Stuart delivered a highly entertaining and hilarious assembly that had pupils and staff laughing from start to finish! 😂👏

Following the assembly, children had the exciting opportunity to have their books signed ✍️📖 before taking part in a series of fantastic workshops across the school. His creativity, enthusiasm and passion for storytelling truly inspired our young readers and writers. 🌟📚

A huge well done to our Year 5 & 6 Orienteering Team for achieving 3rd place at the Towneley Park competition! 🌟👏

The team demonstrated excellent map-reading, problem-solving, teamwork and resilience throughout the day, despite the changing weather. 🗺️🤝🌦️

Our team had a fantastic tournament, winning 3 matches, drawing 1 and narrowly losing 1 to the eventual winners. 🌟

The players showed great determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout, working hard and supporting each other in every game. 👏💙

🎓 We were delighted to welcome students from Burnley College who are studying for their BTEC Business course.

🤝 They spent time with our Year 4 pupils, helping with activities and developing their leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. 🌟

The children thoroughly enjoyed working with the college students and benefited from their support, encouragement, and enthusiasm.
