Our Transition Sways are now live! Take a look together over the summer to explore your child's new classroom, meet the staff and find out about some of the learning and routines for September. We hope they help children feel confident and ready for the new school year.

Look what Vinnie grew! He and his class each took home a small bean plant after growing them from a seed as part of their science topic. He is obviously a budding horticulturist - fingers crossed there’s not a giant at the top. Well done Vinnie and all our green fingered Y1 children.

🌟 Become a Reading Hero this Summer! 📚🦸

We’re encouraging all of our Rosewood children to take part in the FREE Lancashire Libraries’ Summer Reading Challenge.

Simply sign up at your local library, read 5 books over the summer and collect stickers and prizes along the way. Children who also complete 3 challenge activities will become Reading Superheroes and be entered into Lancashire Library’s prize draw for the chance to win a £50 LEGO® kit of their choice!

Bring your Reading Challenge completion certificate into school in September and we’ll award you 50 Dojo points to celebrate your fantastic achievement!

The summer holidays are finally here, and we’d love to see our amazing readers keep turning those pages! 🌟📖

Over the holidays, encourage your child to enjoy lots of wonderful books. When we return to school in September, each class will share their favourite read and create a colourful book spine to display outside our library. 📚🎨

We can't wait to see our entrance filled with everyone's favourite stories—you might even discover your next great read! 💛✨

What a fantastic final few weeks for our magnificent Year 6s! ⭐️

We are so proud of the incredible young people you have become.

From unforgettable adventures at Hothersall Lodge, school sleepovers, to exciting STEM workshops, cinema trips, a fun-filled day at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, special Leavers’ lunches with parents and, finally, a truly magnificent Leavers’ Assembly filled with laughter, tears and beautiful singing, these final few weeks have been a wonderful celebration of your journey at Rosewood.

We wish each and every one of you every success as you take your next steps. We can’t wait to welcome you back to our Catch Up Crew event in September and hear all about your new adventures.

Remember, you’ll always be part of Rosewood. Don’t be a stranger - our doors are always open. We know you’re going to achieve amazing things.

🌟 Well Done to Our School Council! 🌟

A huge congratulations to our fantastic School Council for making such a positive impact on our school and local community this year! 👏

They have helped make improvements around school, organised events at our Christmas Fair 🎄, visited local care homes ❤️, taken part in litter-picking 🌍🗑️, raised road safety awareness 🚸 and visited the Town Hall 🏛️ to learn more about their local community. They have also worked closely with Mrs Juriansz throughout the year.

We are so proud of everything they have achieved. They have been wonderful ambassadors for our school and are leaving some very big boots to fill next year!

✨ Well done and thank you for all your hard work! 🎉👏

🏘️✨What a busy afternoon some of our children had last Thursday when they visited The Little Lancashire Village at Brownhill!
👷‍♂️👷‍♀️ We became builders, 💪 gym workers, 🐾 vets, 📮 postmen and women, 💅beauticians, 👨‍🍳chefs, ☕Costa Corner servers and 🚑paramedics!
There was lots of speech and language development, teamwork, caring, sharing and, of course, plenty of fun!
A fantastic afternoon was had by everyone, especially Mrs Harris and Mrs Juriansz, who left feeling very relaxed after having their hair and nails done!
⭐In the words of Bailey: "It was amazing!" 🥰🎉
