As I am sure the majority of Drivers know, the Driver CPC has changed and we now have two different CPC's. We have the existing INTERNATIONAL CPC which hasn't changed, but we now have the new NATIONAL CPC as well - so you get to choose which one you want/need.

The main change is that the NATIONAL CPC can now be completed by attending 3.5 hour courses - but still needing to complete 35 hours in total over 5 years. You can also complete up to 12 hours of eLearning towards this (don't confuse eLearning with Remote/Online courses. eLearning doesn't have a trainer present.

At the moment we are sticking to the INTERNATIONAL courses, so no change.

HOWEVER - we do now offer the new RETURN TO DRIVING CPC Course. This is a single 7 hour course aimed at drivers with an expired CPC wanting to return to driving. If anyone has a CPC that expired more than 60 days but less than 2 years ago - they can now get back to driving in a single day!

This new RETURN TO DRIVING course covers Drivers Hours & Tachographs, Vehicle Checks, Load Safety and Vulnerable Road Users. Once completed a 12 month National CPC card will be issued allowing someone with an expired CPC to get back to driving quicker and cheaper.

The course can also be attended by anyone with an existing CPC and simply counts as a 7hr International course.

If you are thinking of attending an online Driver CPC Course, our next one is SATURDAY 23/09/2023 starting at 08:15. The course is Operator Licence Awareness, Vehicle Checks, Defect Reporting and Vulnerable Road Users. £40.00 including upload.

All you need to join the course is a tablet or computer with Zoom installed. We don't recommend using a mobile but if you do it needs to be securely held so it remains steady.

Its time to try something new (to us) - we are now offering 7hr Online CPC Courses split over two consecutive evenings 18:30 to 22:15.

That's 7hrs of training plus a quick 15m break. So .. .. .. if you can fit in attending two consecutive sessions between 18:30 and 22:15 you get a 7hr course uploaded to your DVSA training record.

We are just giving it a try for now, so there's a limited number of dates available, but the first one is Monday 03/07 & Tuesday 04/07

Well, it’s only been 18 months but the classroom in Burnley is finally open for business again with our first classroom based course since the Pandemic started running today 👍

Socially distanced
Hand Sanitiser
Anti-Bacterial wipes
Temperature checks
Windows open etc etc

But at least I don’t have to wear a headset and talk to my laptop 😂
