Fair Start Nursery is a thriving nursery looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and caring Early Years Practitioner, working with children aged 2-5years old.

Qualifications:
- A full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification
- Paediatric First aid - desirable

This role does enquire and enhanced disclosure and barring check.

Hours:

TERM TIME ONLY and hours are negotiable between 8:45am-4pm, Monday to Friday, between 14-25 hours a week.
Pay - £10.45 an hour (increasing in April)

Fair Start Nursery in Burnham-On-Sea is a thriving pre-school looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and motivational Nursery Manager working with children aged 2-5 years. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a nursery where we focus on encouraging children to learn through fun and engaging play. You will be working with a dedicated, fully staffed, team in a caring, family friendly, stimulating environment which is inviting to children, parents and staff.
Job Purpose:
The Nursery Manager works closely with the Nursery Deputy, whilst also being expected to work independently in relation to every day management responsibilities. The role requires the confidence to make decisions considering the reputation and financial aspects of the nursery whilst balancing a high degree of sensitivity to the needs of the children and families.
To provide operational management of the nursery facilities and staff, to ensure a high quality, balanced provision of practice, education and care is delivered at all times. Responsible for ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to. Consistently meeting legislative requirements and following education curriculum, delivering standards which ensure the highest possible inspection grading.
Ensure that the training, support, mentoring and supervision of the staff team inspires and leads good practice. To create a safe, caring and welcoming setting in which parents are happy to entrust their child and where their child is encouraged and supported to flourish in an enabling and stimulating environment.
Qualifications:
Required: Full and relevant level 3 qualification.
Required: Minimum of 2 years experience in a managerial role.
Required: DBS enhanced disclosure within the childcare sector.
Desirable: Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
Desirable: Safeguarding training and qualification.
Hours negotiable between 8.45am-4.00pm, Monday – Friday, term time only.
Salary based on qualifications and working hours.
