In after school club this week we have been busy making playdough, exploring slime and the highlight of the week was toasting marshmallows over the campfire in forest school.
Our afterschool club runs until 4.15pm or 5pm Monday-Friday in Little Learners. If you would like to book your child on you can do so via parentpay.

We have had a lovely end to term 5 in Little Learners, learning all about how to care for our planet with discussion about recycling, putting rubbish in the bin and switching things off when we have finished with them. We ended the week making the most of the lovely sunshine and used the opportunity to talk about sun safety. We hope all our families have a lovely half term break and we look forward to seeing you back on Tuesday 2nd June.

Minecraft continues to be a highly popular platform for children, combining creativity, problem-solving and social interaction.

While the game can offer positive opportunities for learning and play, features such as public servers, multiplayer modes and in-game communication can create safeguarding challenges.

Our latest guide supports educators and parents in understanding these risks and helping children play more safely.

The guide explores:
β€’ Public server communication and contact with unknown players
β€’ Griefing, disruptive behaviour and online conflict
β€’ In-game spending and subscription costs
β€’ Addictive gameplay loops and balanced screen time
β€’ Safer settings, private servers and suitable game modes

With clear, practical advice, the guide helps adults set boundaries, encourage safer choices and support responsible Minecraft use.
