What a fantastic day we had for our Secondary Teaching for Mastery workshop.

We began the day by exploring how to develop mathematical thinking, followed by a lesson observation to see these ideas in action.

After lunch, it was time to get hands-on with Cuisenaire Rods, discovering how they can be used across the secondary curriculum.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to such an engaging day!

Interested in joining one of our Secondary Teaching for Mastery Work Groups for 2026/27? We'd love to hear from you. Complete the application form using the link below

Mathematics isn't just for mathematicians, it's part of everyday life. Whether we're managing a budget, interpreting data, estimating distances, or spotting patterns, numerical thinking helps us make sense of the world around us.

John Nash's words remind us that everyone can develop confidence with numbers. Mathematical understanding grows through curiosity, practice, and the willingness to explore ideas, regardless of where we start.
