Below is an invitation to the KS2 Attainment Conference: Start Strong, Building Foundations, run by the South West Attainment Task Force as part of the RISE programme.

Date: Thursday 24 September 2026
Time: 1.30 to 4.00pm
Where: Online via Zoom
Who it's for: KS2 teachers, senior leaders and English and maths subject leaders

This is the first conference in the KS2 Attainment Success series. It will look at the leadership, curriculum and classroom strategies that build strong foundations for KS2 success in English and maths. You'll:

* explore evidence-informed approaches to leadership, curriculum, teaching and assessment
* pick up practical ideas you can use straight away
* hear from experienced practitioners
* collaborate with colleagues across the region who are committed to improving attainment

Follow-up webinars will also be available, both live online and recorded, so you can catch up if you can't make every session.

We're back!

We hope you all had a wonderful summer break and are feeling refreshed and ready for the new term!

It's been a busy start to the year in the Mobius office, with a fantastic response to Mastering Number, Teaching for Mastery, and our Open Work Groups. Thank you so much for your interest. We're working through the emails and applications as quickly as we can and we appreciate your patience in the meantime.

On a more exciting note, we're delighted to announce that the Southwest Maths Hubs 'Annual Maths Conference for Special Schools' will take place on Tuesday 6th October. This event is open to all teachers in Special Schools, Specialist Provisions, and inclusion bases in mainstream schools.

What a fantastic day we had for our Secondary Teaching for Mastery workshop.

We began the day by exploring how to develop mathematical thinking, followed by a lesson observation to see these ideas in action.

After lunch, it was time to get hands-on with Cuisenaire Rods, discovering how they can be used across the secondary curriculum.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to such an engaging day!
