This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, bringing together talented staff, ambitious pupils and a wider network of support dedicated to helping every child succeed.

We are delighted to celebrate another year of strong GCSE results and, once again, to see our students maintain the positive levels of improvement achieved in recent years.

These results are a testament to the hard work, resilience and determination of our students, alongside the dedication, commitment and support of our staff and families. We are incredibly proud of every student; today is a moment to celebrate their success and individual achievements.

We wish them all the very best for their future and hope that they look ahead with confidence to the next stage of their educational journey.

Part 2 of Sports Day took place today at The Burgess Hill Academy where an early start allowed our students to compete in kinder temperatures. The whole school turned out to watch the 100 metre sprints and the 4x100 metre relays.

There was a great atmosphere out on the track, with the runners being well supported by their peers.

The students will find out the winning house and tutor groups tomorrow!

We celebrated Diversity Day at The Burgess Hill Academy last Friday - led by Mr Billing and group of our students.

There was a bake sale along with a chance to purchase badges, fans and to have glitter face paint.

The students managed to raise £144 for Cancer Research UK as their chosen charity for this event.

Well done to all the staff and students who volunteered their time for this event and to those who made purchases.

Last week, 30 pupils were taken to London’s West End by our Performing Arts department for an overnight stay in the capital.

The first evening saw them take in Oliver Twist the musical, then on the following day, our students visited the famous Pineapple Dance Studios where they learnt a routine to ‘Revolting Children’. This was followed up by taking in an afternoon performance of Matilda the musical.

Year 7 took part in their first ever Sports Day here at The Burgess Hill Academy this morning. Tennis, Volleyball, Vortex, High Jump, Standing Long jump, 400m and 800m events all took place with next Monday seeing the whole school come together for the 100 metres and 4x100 relays.

A huge congratulations to all of our Year 7 students who were recognised during our End of Term Awards Assembly! 👏🎉

Throughout the assembly, we celebrated students who have shown outstanding effort across every subject, with certificates awarded to one boy and one girl in each curriculum area. 📚✨

We also recognised students who have gone above and beyond by presenting awards for:
🏆 The highest number of R3 Awards
⭐ The highest overall reward points
💙 The Pastoral Leader Award, presented to two students who have consistently demonstrated our school values and made a positive contribution to school life.
