It’s that time again!!

Having a first aid qualification is an important part of your teaching CPD.
Doing it with fellow dance teachers means you can ask specific questions relating to studio teaching.

Lots of interest this year so please book early. Invoices will be sent in the autumn term.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

There are many reasons why a student studies for the DDE qualification, but at Dance2advance it is our aim to target those who really want to make dance teaching their career 🧡

This means that alongside the required units of the ISTD we provide extra training to broaden their learning experience and potential employment opportunities ✔️

Our 2.5 hour sessions include 1.5 hours of unit 4 training focussed on the syllabus and an hour of additional learning of complementary subjects.

Emma Clarke is one of our unique graduates in that she achieved her DDE qualification in 4 genres:

✨ Classical Greek dance

✨ Imperial Ballet

✨ Modern Theatre dance

✨ Tap dance

Having already gained her DDI Modern & DDE units 4 & 5 in Modern with Deborah Lamb, Emma came to us in 2022 to continue to develop her qualifications. On top of completing 3 more DDE’s she also achieved her Adv 2 Imperial Ballet - no mean feat as many of you will appreciate!

Prior to all of this Emma had added a BA(Hons) in Theatre Production to her qualifications, something that very much comes into play now she is a school owner. “My background as a theatre technician deeply informs my approach; I strive to give every student a professional-grade experience, from intricate lighting design to custom-made costumes and set pieces.”

Emma is keeping herself very busy as principal of 2 dance schools:

Firstly etcetera which is currently celebrating its 3rd year anniversary & more recently Nicola Miles Theatre Studios , building on its long established legacy created by Nicola Miles.

Emma was always a fully engaged member of her classes, bringing insight & different perspectives to conversations. Her well-rounded approach to dance as a theatre performance art will benefit all her future students.
