The children made their very own ‘Christmas pudding puppets’ to support our Christmas pudding song during our Christmas carol concert. The children watched carefully as teacher Paige role modelled the activity, then they independently created a Christmas pudding. The children used glue to stick each part of the Christmas pudding together.
We are all very excited for the big day where the children at Wish park day nursery will be performing in front of their mummies and daddies!

The children have been showing interest in the weather changes and therefore, learning about Autumn and plants life cycle.

They took trips to the local community to collect natural resources, visited The Range to seek for new plants and bigger plant pots, explored “autumn” play dough and even involved their families in collecting natural resources in their Treasure Bags over the weekend! Making the most of the cosy season 🍂🍁🍂

Our 2-3 years made Poppies using red paint and apples in preparation for Remembrance Day. We spoke about what Remembrance Day was and why we celebrate it and spoke about how poppies have relevance to the day. Everyone looked at a picture of a poppy and we spoke about what colours we could see.

The Toddler’s at Littlesaurus have been incredibly creative with their interests. The children are excited for their Halloween Tea Party and have been discussing what they want to dress up as. The children chose to make some monster masks. They demonstrated using their own imagination to explore and create with a range of mediums.
Some of the Toddlers wanted to create some ghosts to put in the Windows. They also demonstrated confidence in choosing their own resources and negotiated the turn taking in small groups.
Towards the end of the week our interests have changed to space following the enjoyment of the Whatever Next story book by Jill Murphy. The Toddlers took a walk around the nursery to find what resources they could use to create their very own rocket to blast off into space.

Bright Saurus recently celebrated employee appreciation week by creating a pick and mix station in the staff room. I'm sure you will agree it was very well deserved for all the fantastic work the team do everyday

Did you know today is national dinosaur day? We will be celebrating in our Saurus nurseries by singing our dinosaur songs, learning more about our prehistoric friends and having tea parties.
