🌟 What a fantastic start to the new school year! 🌟

It's been wonderful to see the children settle back in so well and make the most of these first few weeks.
As we begin another year of fundraising, we wanted to take a moment to thank our amazing school community and share some of the difference your support has made.

Last year, together we raised an incredible £14,133 for the school. From books and sports equipment to workshops, activities and playground improvements, every event, donation and volunteer hour helped create opportunities for our children.

The photos below show just some of the fantastic playground and outdoor learning enhancements funded through PSA support, including the new trim trail, creative play areas and outdoor spaces that the children are already enjoying.

💚 Thank you to everyone who supported, donated, volunteered and attended our events. None of this would have been possible without you.

Here's to another fantastic year for Bures School!

☀️We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer break! ☀️

There isn't long to go now until we welcome our pupils back to school, along with those joining Bures for the very first time. We can't wait to see you all! ❤️

The school has been busy over the break, and here's a sneak peek of the brand-new play area under construction using funds raised by the PSA (which we couldn’t have done without the fantastic support from our community) 👀

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraising efforts. We can't wait to show you the finished result for the children to enjoy this amazing new addition to the playground!

We are still on the look out for anyone that may be able to help with this job ❤️

☀️🌈 Summer Holiday Competition! 🌈☀️

School may be out, but we'd love to keep those creative minds busy over the summer!

We're inviting all Bures Primary children to take part in our Thank You Card Design Competition. Create a colourful and imaginative thank you card that the school can use throughout the year to send to the wonderful people who support our school community.

🎨 Let your imagination run wild!
🏆 The winning design will receive a fantastic prize, including Pokémon cards, stationery and a sweet treat bag.
💷 Free to enter.
📅 Closing date: Thursday 4th September.

Whether you're away on holiday, enjoying days out with family or simply making the most of the summer break, we'd love to see your designs.

Most importantly, we hope all our children and families have a brilliant summer filled with fun, laughter and lots of amazing memories. ☀️❤️

We can't wait to see what you create!

🌈 We've finally managed to clean the colour powder off the children, the staff and most of the playground, so it's probably about time we shared some photos from our fantastic Colour Run! 🌈

What a way to finish Sports Day!
First came the much-anticipated sliming, with Mrs Pope, Mrs Manning and Mrs Ray bravely volunteering to be covered in slime by some very lucky winners. The children absolutely loved it, and all three teachers were fantastic sports!

The fun then continued with our first-ever Colour Run, which was a huge success. The children had the best time running, laughing and getting covered in bright colours. Judging by the smiles on their faces (and the number of laps completed), we think this may have to become an annual event!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success – our organisers, staff, volunteers, everyone who donated, and all the families who supported the event.

Special thanks to:
💙 J D Plumbing & Gas Engineering for donating the pool noodles.💙 The Garwood family for donating the gazebo decorations.💙 Pizza on the Green for donating the slip-and-slide mat.💙 Mrs Pope, Mrs Manning and Mrs Ray for agreeing to be slimed!

The support from our school community never ceases to amaze us.

Thank you again to everyone who donated, volunteered, supported and took part. The children absolutely loved it.

What a wonderful way to celebrate the end of term! 🎉

Today we said a fond farewell to two very special members of the Bures family – celebrating Mrs Manning’s retirement and Mrs Holmes’ last day at Bures Primary School.

The children had such a fantastic time at St Mary’s church, with so much laughter, joy and happy memories shared. It was a lovely opportunity to come together and thank both Mrs Manning and Mrs Holmes for everything they have done for our school community.

We wish them both every happiness and success in the future, and thank them for the huge contribution they have made to the lives of our children.

To all our families, staff and pupils – have a wonderful summer break. We look forward to seeing you in September! ☀️🌻
