DISCOVER ST EDMUND’S – WHERE CHILDREN FLOURISH – OPEN DAY – WEDNESDAY 7TH OCTOBER

Are you looking for a school where your child will be known, valued and supported to flourish? Come and discover what makes St Edmund’s such a special school community.

We are opening our doors all day on Wednesday 7 October for prospective families considering Nursery, Reception or a place in one of our other year groups to have a tour with our Executive Head teacher, Mr Kennedy. We currently have a limited number of places available in some classes.

OUR NEW NURSERY IS OPEN!
This year we have welcomed children aged 3 and above into our brand-new Nursery provision, giving families the opportunity to begin their St Edmund’s journey even earlier.

A GREAT START TO SCHOOL LIFE
We are incredibly proud of the progress our children have made over the past year. Our phonics outcomes continue to be well above the national average, helping our youngest children develop the confidence and skills they need to become successful readers.

Our children have also made strong progress in mathematics, with our Multiplication Tables Check results increasing by 17% while our Key Stage 2 results have continued to improve.

At the end of Key Stage 2, the proportion of children achieving the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths combined increased by 8%, with Reading improving by an impressive 31% and Writing by 8%.

Wow… what a busy summer we’ve had but we are ready to open our doors tomorrow to welcome our children back to school as well as our new Reception children and, for the first time ever, brand new nursery children.

Parts of our school are unrecognisable from when the school closed for the summer holidays. A massive thank you to our staff who have worked tirelessly over the last couple of days to make sure we are ready to open our doors.

We can’t wait to see our families tomorrow and welcome anybody who wants to view our new facility in the future!!
