💫💔It is with a heavy heart that I announce the untimely passing of our beloved Kit Lorenzo. Kit gained his angel wings on 24.07.2026. 💔💫

Kit was such a bright light in everyone’s lives who was lucky to meet him. His natural humour would have you laughing instantly (just like his mummy and nanny!!) and his fighting spirit was like no other. He adored animals - any kind and had a soul wise beyond his years. Kit, the impact you have had on me will stay with me for the rest of my life. I promise we will carry you in everything we do and you will always be a part of the Woodlands family, just like your sister is now. You were the sunshine in every storm you faced, exactly what this picture of you shows 🤍

✨ End of Year Party ✨

Another successful End of Year Party for all of us here at Woodlands! A huge thank you to all the families who joined us yesterday to celebrate another fantastic year and to wish our school graduates all the very best as they begin their next chapter. 🥰

An even bigger thank you goes to our incredible staff, who make a difference every single day of the year not just on special occasions like yesterday. Events like these simply wouldn’t be possible without all of their hard work, dedication, and care. 🫶🏼

Finally, I can’t end this school year without another special mention for our beloved Kit, who is facing a battle that no child should ever have to endure. He remains in our thoughts, hearts, and prayers every single day. Sending all our love to Kit and his family. ♥️

Update on Kit:

The family have shared an update on Kit, and unfortunately it is not the news any of us wanted or expected. 💔

Kit has sadly relapsed before finishing his treatment and being able to ring that bell. He now has to begin this fight all over again.

We are all devastated for Kit and his family, and they need everyone’s incredible support once more as this long journey begins again. Any donation, no matter how small, will help support Nikki to be by Kit’s side throughout his treatment.

You’ve got this, Kit. Your Woodlands family are right behind you. ❤️♥️

Our new mud kitchen is officially open… and it’s already a big hit! 🌿👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

The children have loved getting stuck in! Mixing, pouring, stirring and creating their very own muddy masterpieces. From teamwork to imaginative play, this space is already full of learning, laughter, and lots of mess!

We’re so proud of this beautiful addition to our outdoor area and can’t wait to see what the children create next 💚

Two of the most loved spaces in our nursery 💙

Our sensory room provides a calm, safe environment filled with lights, colours and textures that help children relax, explore and regulate their emotions. It is especially supportive for children who are autistic, non-verbal or benefit from additional sensory support.

Our physical play area helps children meet their sensory needs through climbing, balancing, pushing and movement activities. These experiences support their proprioceptive input (how the body understands movement and pressure), helping children feel calmer, more confident and ready to learn.

Every space in our setting is designed to help children feel safe, supported and able to develop at their own pace. 🌟

🎄✨ Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of our wonderful Woodlands families!

This term has been full of festive fun, excitement, and so many special moments. One of the most touching highlights for us was delivering Kit’s Christmas presents today and spending time with him during his short break from hospital, before he returns to begin the next phase of his treatment. Kit is a true inspiration to us all, and we are sending him our very best wishes for health and happiness in 2026 ❤️

We can’t wait to welcome back our families and meet all of our new ones in the New Year. Thank you for being part of our Woodlands family ✨

✨ Update on Kit ✨

We wanted to share an update with you all about our incredibly brave little boy, Kit, who attends our nursery and is currently undergoing treatment for High Risk Stage 4 Neuroblastoma.

There are detailed updates on this page about Kit’s current condition, and we encourage you to take a look to follow his journey. Despite everything he is facing, Kit continues to show extraordinary courage every single day. His strength, and determination are nothing short of inspiring.

Kit’s family are also showing remarkable bravery. Their resilience, love, and positivity through such an unimaginably difficult time is truly humbling. We are so proud of them and are sending all our love and support.

Any donations, no matter the size, are deeply appreciated and will make a meaningful difference to Kit and his family as they navigate his treatment and ongoing care.

👐 Safe, Sensory Fun for All! 🌈

Our little explorers have loved getting hands-on with PICA-safe and food play activities over the last week! 🍓✨

By using taste-safe materials and gentle food exploration, children can safely discover new textures, smells, and sensations — helping build confidence, curiosity, and comfort around food (especially for our friends with ARFID 💛).

Sometimes a little mess leads to a lot of learning! 🌿
