Recently a joint project between Agriculture at Bicton College and Countryside Management at Bicton College took place to manage the grass within Aldergrove Meadow. The meadow is managed as a wildflower meadow, but is seasonally grazed by sheep to allow a natural management technique to be used. Learners can manage the sheep and evaluate the success of the grazing regime. Overall the sheep did an excellent job, which hopefully will result in higher biodiversity levels in the summer.
