❄️ 🐄 The calves are now in for winter! 🥶 🧊 🐮 ……… Because winter on the farm isn’t just cold… it’s character-building.
1️⃣ Weather Shielding: Calves don’t thrive in wind + rain combos. Warm and dry = healthy and growing.
2️⃣ Better Nutrition: Winter grass is basically salad with no calories. Indoors, they get proper feed to keep them on track.
3️⃣ Grassland Management: Wet paddocks + lively calves = mud soup. Housing saves the fields.
4️⃣ Health Checks: Easier to spot sniffles, treat quickly, and keep everyone thriving.
5️⃣ They’re Still Babies!: Not quite tough enough for winter’s worst yet.
