Once again we were blessed with another stunning day for my 6th Pros Day! 🌞

An incredible field of 176 players competed in our annual ‘Two Ball Texas Scramble’ format. The wind really picked up in the afternoon to make it a tough test but a brilliant net 61 for Martin Lydiard & Michael Cowen topped the leaderboard 🏆

I had a great day out on the 13th Hole for our ‘Double your money challenge’. As always there were some fantastic shots and some not so fantastic shots but nonetheless everyone seemed to enjoy it 😂

These days wouldn’t be possible without the great support we get at the club from certain individuals - Simon Greatbatch for setting up the competition and printing all of the scorecards - Pat Upwood & Phil Davis for manning the desk and welcoming the players and Jerry for doing everything Jerry does!

JUNIOR INFORMATION -

We still have a few spaces available on our junior coaching days:

Tuesday 4th August

Friday 7th August

Spaces are filling up quickly, so get in touch to finalise your place on this coaching day. It’s a great opportunity to make some new friends and improve your golf skills while having fun! ⛳️

Following this,

Don’t forget that we are still running junior coaching sessions as normal on Saturday mornings through the school holidays;

Ages 5-12 9am-10am

Ages 13-18 10am-11am

No need to book in for these lessons, just turn up a little bit before your time slot and pay in the pro shop!

SUMMER JUNIOR COACHING CAMP-

I will be running a few dates throughout the summer holiday’s, some still to be confirmed so keep an eye out! ⛳️

The First session will be held on Tuesday 4th August for ages 5-12

A session for the 13-18 year olds will be held on Friday 7th August

These sessions will include a mixture of skill building, technique work and real on course experience. With the morning taking part on the range where we will do a variety of different aspects of the game, moving through the short game to long game.

alongside this we will be working through the techniques, mixed in with some fun games and challenges to add some pressure, competition and even more fun! We will then head up to the clubhouse for some sandwich and chips.

Following lunch we will be headed out to the course to get some real experience on how we actually play golf, this gives us a chance to test all of the practice and work we have done. This also gives the juniors a great idea of what we are working towards and how fun the golf course is!

To book onto these session please PM me and further details will follow. These sessions are run on a first come, first serve basis and limited to 10 juniors per day. So be quick to secure your spot! ⛳️😎

Parents do not need to stay throughout the day,

We’ve had a great few days in the Midlands with Joe Miles Jamie Burt Joe Weeks for the Whittington Heath Pro Am.

We managed a 2nd place with 90 points in the team event and I shot new course record of -7 43 points to win the individual 🏆

Apologies for the delay in results for the Open Sweepstake, I will be back in the shop tomorrow to get the prizes sorted 💰
