This week, the children have loved exploring the story ‘the three little pigs 🐷’ they have used the masks to act out the story themselves- this encourages the children to build their confidence.
They have also explored different textures of bricks, sticks and straw to create pictures of the three houses to take home to show parents 😊
We love basing play around all of our favourite stories 📚 💙

The Pre-School children are learning the story of ‘Were going on a bear hunt’ this week, they are enjoying having lots of different sensory resources including scented brown play dough to create their own bears 🐻 and a tuff tray created especially to encourage the children to understand and be able to re-tell the story themselves. The tuff tray includes long wavy grass, a deep, cold river 🥶 thick oozy mud, a big dark forest 🌳 a whirling snow storm ☁️ a narrow gloomy cave and a safe and warm house 🏡

Reminder
If your child has had or needs calpol they should not be in nursery.
Children should be temperature free for at least 24hours before returning to nursery.
Sickness and Diarrhoea you should be at least 48hours clear since the last bout.
Children who are on antibiotics should of been taking these for at least 24hours before returning.
A child can be feeling poorly without having a temperature, please bear this in mind, as we can not provide one to one care for poorly children.
We try to reduce the spread of illness as much as we can.

We love Autumn here at Budehaven day nursery, we are getting our display boards ready for Autumn term, the children have loved being involved with this, having their hands painted to create Autumn leaves 🍁🍁

Soon we will be going out on lots of Autumn walks finding crunchy leaves, bumpy pine cones, spiky conkers and tiny acorns 🐿️🍂🦔
