🚀 Last remaining places for our Summer of STEM holiday club! 🤖

Our Summer of STEM adventures are well underway, and we've loved seeing so many young engineers, scientists and creators getting hands-on with exciting STEM challenges.

We only have a handful of places left on the following sessions:
📅 Thursday 6th August – Full Day
📅 Tuesday 11th August – Half Day (PM)
📅 Tuesday 18th August – Full Day
📅 Wednesday 19th August – Half Day (PM)

From robotics and coding to engineering design, science experiments and creative problem-solving, every session is packed with engaging, hands-on activities designed to inspire curious minds.

Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Our Summer of STEM holiday clubs are officially underway! 🌊🤖

What a fantastic start to four weeks of hands-on STEM adventures.

This week's Wild STEM theme took us beneath the waves as we explored the incredible game of hide and seek in the ocean. Children:
🪸 Built their own colourful coral reefs
🎨 Experimented with pigments inspired by ocean camouflage
🐙 Coded their Roboctopus to change colour and blend into its surroundings

Learning through play, creativity, coding and plenty of smiles – exactly how summer should be! 💙

We can't wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store.

⚓🤖 Two brilliant days at Devonport Open Days!

From recovering pieces of Smeaton's Tower with our robot crane to seeing if our AI Build Scanner could recognise LEGO creations, it was fantastic to watch families getting stuck in, solving problems together and asking some brilliant questions.

A huge thank you to everyone who came over to our stand, had a go and chatted with us. And thank you to Babcock International Group for inviting us to be part of another fantastic community event.

Already looking forward to the next one!

Over the summer term, we've had the privilege of delivering our Limitless – Girls in STEM workshops to 80 girls across four rural schools in Cornwall, thanks to funding from Cornwall Women's Fund

Our aim was simple: to remove barriers created by geography, confidence and stereotypes, and give girls the opportunity to explore STEM in a supportive, all-girls environment alongside inspirational female STEM ambassadors.

The impact has been incredible. Not only did we see growing confidence and enthusiasm for STEM throughout the workshops, but the girls also began talking about futures they hadn't previously imagined for themselves, from scientists and engineers to inventors and business owners.

A huge thank you to Cornwall Women's Fund for funding this project. We'd also like to thank the schools, teachers and our fantastic STEM ambassadors, whose enthusiasm and encouragement made such a difference.

This report captures just some of the impact achieved, and we would love to continue growing Limitless so that even more girls in rural communities can discover that there are no limits to what they can achieve.

🌱🤖 This year's FIRST® LEGO® League Explore challenge is BioGlow™... and it's about so much more than building robots.

Children will investigate biodiversity, explore how nature is protected and discover how engineering and technology can help wildlife and habitats thrive.

With support from The Crown Estate, we'll connect pupils with experts working to enhance biodiversity, helping children understand how STEM careers are making a real difference to the environment, with links to North Devon and the wider UK.

Every participating school will receive:
✨ A full-day robotics workshop
🧱 A FIRST LEGO League Explore kit to keep
👩‍🏫 Teacher support and CPD
🤖 Access to our regional robotics loan library

BIG NEWS!

We're incredibly excited to announce that, thanks to funding from The Crown Estate, we're launching one of the largest FIRST® LEGO® League Explore programmes in the South West!

Next academic year we'll be working with:
- 12 primary schools
- Around 360 children aged 6-9
- Teachers across North Devon

To deliver:
🧱 Hands-on LEGO® robotics and engineering education
🤖 State of the art educational resources available to schools for long term use
🎉 A regional celebration event

This investment will bring world-class STEM opportunities to rural schools, helping children discover the exciting world of engineering, coding and problem-solving from an early age.

⛏️ 315 young minds. 8 Cornish schools. 12 classes. ⚖️

Over the past few weeks, we've been delivering FIRST LEGO League Explore in a Day to primary schools across South East Cornwall, giving pupils the chance to build, code, collaborate and solve problems through hands-on learning.

The confidence, creativity and teamwork on display have been incredible. 💙

A fantastic day at Warbstow Primary working with the girls in Years 3-6 on our’Limitless’ project funded by Cornwall Women's Fund. Our fantastic STEM ambassadors showed the girls a number of different careers they could pursue in STEM. The girls showed great problem solving skills, resilience and a growth in confidence as the day progressed to showcase some fantastic projects by the end of the day. Well done girls 👏
