This week's Standards Focus is uniform. A reminder of our expectations below 👇🏻

- Shoes must be all black and polishable
- Jumpers and blazers must be worn on entry to school and on the corridors
- Shirts must be tucked in with ties worn
- Trousers must be grey and tailored, and skirts must be worn at an appropriate length
- 1 pair of stud earrings, 1 ring and a watch are permitted
- No facial piercings of any kind are permitted

As always, we will continue to support in any case where a student is missing an item of uniform!

Open Evening 2026. What a night.

Yesterday, we welcomed well over 700 people through our doors to see for themselves what makes Elfed High School such a special place to be. With the help of over 200 of our fantastic students, families were treated to Drama and Music performances, Science demonstrations, Maths games and puzzles, and much more.

As always, the incredible feedback we received on what is such a warm and welcoming community at our school reminded us just why we are so .

We are delighted to re-share our planned timeline and associated FAQs to becoming a phone-free school, a move we know will greatly support learning, mental wellbeing and relationships between students at school. Our students have responded incredibly positively to this move, and we are already noticing a huge decrease in the number of mobile phones being used during break and lunchtime in anticipation of the pouches being introduced.

As outlined here in the FAQs, there will of course be medical exemptions where unrestricted access to a phone is needed.

Further information with regards to the rollout of this new policy will follow in the coming weeks.
