Where chemistry meets creativity. 🎨🧪 Explore the fascinating story behind Eleanor’s Chinese Paints, discovering the science of pigments before putting her learning into practice. Using traditional Chinese paper, she created beautiful paintings inspired by centuries of artistic tradition, combining scientific curiosity with creative expression in a truly hands-on experience. A wonderful reminder that learning doesn’t stay within the boundaries of a single subject, it thrives when disciplines come together.

Every week our pupils volunteer in local primary schools to deliver fun and interactive nature-based activities that encourage curiosity about the world around us. Activities include dissecting owl pellets, building hedgehog recording tunnels, studying freshwater inverts samples under the microscope, breeding butterflies, making seed bombs, fish dissections, producing botanical clay prints, studying animal skulls, learning how to make animal dens, making bird feeders and wormeries. A wonderful opportunity for our pupils to develop their leadership and communication skills while making a positive impact in the local community.
