We 💙 celebrating our pupils!

We are super proud of our students Bella, Elliot and Lewes who have been training at Akeley Village Hall with Kicks Taekwon-do for just over a year.

In June they attended their first ever competition - ITFU British Championships 2026 in Repton. Throughout all the age groups there were over 300 competitors, so it could have been overwhelming but they dealt with it brilliantly. Their instructor commented they were a credit to the whole club.

They all competed in the 7–9-year group with Bella winning Silver in Sparring, Elliot winning Bronze in Patterns and Lewes winning Silver in Patterns and Bronze in Sparring.

It’s lovely to see our students growing together in and outside of school.

Some people make a difference every single day, and our Miss D***s is one of those people. 💛

Last night, Miss D***s attended the Buckinghamshire School Awards 2026 as a New Teacher of the Year finalist…a truly deserved recognition of the passion, care and dedication she brings to our school every single day.

Beth is kind, nurturing and simply one in a million. She goes above and beyond for our children and families, inspiring a love of learning from the very beginning. We feel incredibly lucky to have her as part of our school family.

Joined by Mrs Woods, they enjoyed a fantastic celebration evening in High Wycombe, hosted by the brilliant Alex Horne from Taskmaster.

We couldn’t be prouder of you, Miss D***s!! This recognition is so well deserved, and no one deserves it more. Congratulations, you make us all so proud! 🌟💛

Wow! What an amazing afternoon and opportunity for our children!😍

An amazing talk from Mr Lewis down at Akeley yesterday afternoon who came to chat to all of the children about being a helicopter pilot in the army!

The children asked so many amazing questions, and lots of them walked away saying that they would like to be in the army when they grow up.

Thank you SO much Mr Lewis!! 🚁✈️🌏

Our wonderful PTFA kindly donated ice pops to our pupils, lollies for our staff as well as some cold refreshments! A big thank you also to in Buckingham for donating half of the muchly appreciated drinks! We are so greatful!

A fabulous afternoon celebrating Marvellous Men down at Akeley, we did some crafts and spent some time in Forest School around the campfire making s’mores with out Marvellous men!

The children then surprised their special person with a lovely song to end the wonderful afternoon. Memories that’ll last a lifetime…that is what it’s all about. 💙

🏆 We are incredibly proud of Andrew, who has been awarded the Buckingham Swimathon Shield by Rotary Club of Buckingham after completing an outstanding 130 lengths in just 55 minutes...the highest number of lengths achieved at this year's event!

In addition to this remarkable achievement, Andrew raised an amazing £380 in sponsorship, with £190 donated to our PTFA and £190 supporting Buckingham Rotary Charities and other local causes.

Congratulations on this fantastic accomplishment, everyone at St James and St John is immensely proud and grateful! 🌟🏊‍♂️

Wow! What a fantastic Sports Day! We are SO proud of all our pupils who showed amazing sportsmanship, courage, kindness and resilience! 🙌🏻

A big thank you to S4A for all their organisation, our PTFA for their fabulous colour raffle and our parents for all their support and making the afternoon so much fun! And last but not least our amazing team for all their hard work!
