Black History Month.
October in the United Kingdom is a time to celebrate the history, achievements, role models and the overcoming of historic and current struggles faced by people with African or Caribbean heritage. It is, however, more than just a month. It is a commitment to educating ourselves, sharing information, confronting biases, and engaging in meaningful action. It is where we come from and where we are going.
Thank you to everyone who got involved with our Black History posts, the Poetry & Painting session, the debate forum, the library posts- it has been an honour to have had so many amazing students engage with us, and we hope to engage with you more in the future.
