We look forward to welcoming Katherine to join us to talk to our own entrepreneurial students, about how they can start and run a successful business from the age of 18 and thrive during a Pandemic...and still maintain a positive, passionate, enthusiastic attitude in everything she does, providing employment and a great service with a smile! Many congratulations. Very well deserved Katherine!

We are very glad to help out our local community. www.beiu.co.uk/laptops
The school was pleased to receive a donation of 6 laptops from the University of Buckingham.
The Buckingham Enterprise & Innovation Unit has an initiative of providing laptops for learners.
https://beiu.co.uk/
‘There are a significant number of primary aged children who don’t have access to the technology they need to study properly.
Some pupils sharing one laptop between four other members of their family making learning from home really challenging.
We wanted to ensure that as many young people as possible in our community have access to the tools they need to learn effectively from home during the 2021 lockdown’
The unit is asking for donations to enhance the scheme.
Further information can be found by following the link

We are now onto the second week of our Laptops for Learners campaign and keep seeing donations come in. Here are some photos of teachers receiving their laptops last week, if you want to contribute to getting more laptops to school children who need them to study visit https://beiu.co.uk/laptops/
We are launching a campaign to help get laptops to school children struggling to work from home. Today we have given out 22 laptops to local schools and have launched a crowdfunding campaign to arrange more. Find out more information here: https://beiu.co.uk/laptops/

The team from the Buckingham Enterprise & Innovation Unit at The University of Buckingham have been helping colleagues in the Business School and Foundation Department to provide on-line teaching.
We seem to be doing what students like in our on-line teaching and support during these challenging times.
As our students work four terms each.yearv, during the summer term we will be continuing to develop on-line recorded short "nuggets" of information, along with live on-line tutorials and workshops on a personal tuition basis.
This is the way we do things at the University of Buckingham

We’re putting the Buckingham Enterprise and Innovation Unit’s 3D printer to good use by printing as many PPE face shield holders as possible for as long as possible. Due to the temporary shutdown at the University of Buckingham, The printer is working from home too! sitting comfortably and working away in the garage of one of the Buckingham based BEIU team members homes. When Nick Hewer from Alan Sugar’s Apprentice pops in for a chat.
We’re working with David Hall’s CloudyIT, Bucks Skills Hub and Study Higher on a Schools Outreach project called App-prentice Challenge. The project will take place in three Bucks schools in June. We hope this will help to encourage more school pupils to develop their app building skills and to think and work in a more enterprising way.
Nick popped in for some filming and to show his support for the project.
He was very generous with his time, speaking to staff and students.
He’ll be joining us again on 15 June for the Buckingham Literary Festival. His book is on sale now in Alison Cameron’s University of Buckingham Bookshop.
Congratulations to all the 2019 graduates!
