Apologies and thanks for your understanding

Did you know you can pick up card from IKEA for free??? 🙂

A trolley load of card can stock your creation station and your block play area for weeks and weeks!!!! Soooo much potential for free!!!

I always buy a blue bag and a plant so I’m not just walking out with their recycling 😂😂😂

Also many stores have a free wood section to upcycle wood breakages and returns.

If you don’t ask you don’t get !!!!

STOP SPENDING YOUR MONEY ON PREPLANNED WORKSHEETS - CONCENTRATE ON YOUR ENVIRONMENT 🤬🤬🤬
You’re making people rich and children poor 🤬🤬🤬

World gone mad !!!!!

Due to increased family care commitments I will be lecturing part time from Sept, still working with individual settings and doing some supply locally. Or at least that’s what I thought.

Apparently as a leading early years training consultant, author, lecturer (teaching teachers to be teachers) I CAN NOT register with a supply agency for adhoc work from Sept because I haven’t been in a classroom with little people for over 5 yrs !!!!!!! Even though I can supply references on my suitability from local authorities, head teachers and national nursery chains. I need to prove I have a good understand of the governments current curriculum !!!! 🤬🤬🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

So ….. if you are at school in bicester, northants, Milton Keynes - let me know - apparently I have to go volunteer to prove I’m ok with children !!!!

Apparently this is ironic considering the calibre of supply teachers some of my local schools have been sent recently !!!!

Comment P4P to keep up to date with planning for potential

Did you know you don’t actually need any of these 5 things in your ey setting?

1. Writing table - writing materials should be distributed throughout your setting - every area should have lots of writing potential (indoors and outdoors).

2. A sand tray - often added because “we’ve always had it “ - there is NO document that states you have to have it (either indoors or outdoors) - plan knowing your why if you chose to have it - maths, language, physical develop, science potential etc or choose something more impactful for the space

3. A maths area - like writing, maths possibility should be / is woven into every area - maths is so much more than just counting

4. A water tray - like with sand there is nothing that says you have to have it. Does it offer opportunities - yes ! Can you offer those opportunities in other ways - absolutely!

5. Labels on everything - this is an adult concept that children NEED to be able to tidy up. Would you put a 2 yr old in a car and give them the keys ? No? Age inappropriate ? Go figure !! What children really need is — PLAY !!!!! Leave Mrs Hinch at home and concentrate on the play possibilities.

Wasp nest well and truly kicked ………. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
