Dear BCPS families,

Due to the anticipated heavy rain and possible flooding tomorrow, the Open House schedule for grades PreK-12 has been changed. We will now host an open house for all schools from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM tomorrow. If additional time is needed for an open house, a detailed alert will sent at a later date.

Additionally, the Back to School Carnival for grades Prek-5 scheduled for Friday has been canceled.

Attention Buckingham community! 🏫 While leaving the middle school after the administrative retreat, we found an unexpected visitor—an adorable bunny 🐇 who seems to have lost its way! Is anyone missing a furry friend? This little hopper was found trying to enroll in classes and seemed particularly interested in the salad bar. 🥗

Good evening from the Food Services Department. Buckingham County Public Schools are participating in the 2024 Seamless Summer Feeding Program and will be providing meals to all children without charge. Those meals can be picked up at the Summer School locations. Please see our nutrition website for details.

It was truly an honor today to recognize Ms. Velma Parks Jones who was an educator for many years with BCPS. She was a a member of the Kappa Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority and as a part of one of the sorority’s national initiatives (Enhancing Our Environment) they planted a tree (a Shadblow)at the middle school in memory of Ms. Jones.
