🦩 I'll tell you a little story:

When my husband and I lived in Bristol (pre-kids!), we enjoyed going to the Balloon Festival at about this time of year. One time, we'd cycled over to the venue and a Daddy with his toddler on a bike seat arrived and set up camp close to us. Daddy obviously wanted and expected the toddler to be interested and excited by the hot air balloons... but the toddler really just wanted to look at the longish grass he was sitting in. He was fascinated by its patterns and wriggliness, and the occasional bug he found. That poor Daddy didn't need to have cycled further than his garden 😂

So I love the idea of giving your child the camera for a trip out because it gives you a real insight into what they consider to be beautiful, arty or interesting. It almost certainly won't be what you're expecting, and it might not be what you think it "should" be - but go with it anyway 🥰

🦩 What better word bank can you find for your baby or toddler than the library?

These days, libraries have loads of board books even for the youngest baby, so get yourself down there from day 1!
