We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but our ICT systems are down this morning.

This means any messages or emails you have sent into us will not be able to be read until this is resolved.

We will also be registering pupils manually today.

Hopefully this will be resolved later this morning.

⭐️NEW SCHOOL TIES⭐️

Thank you so much to everyone who has collected their ties already. The ties will be available to collect until 2pm today and then will be available on the first morning back in registration.

SOME FAQ’s:

💙 The ties are the only compulsory piece of BCHS uniform that our young people need to wear. If you have purchased items with the school badge the tie can still be worn with these

💛 The ties were designed by pupils and then all of our pupils voted for their new ties. We are so pleased with how great they have turned out!

💙 White polo shirts are an option for S1-4 pupils after pupil voice feedback and consultation

💛 Young people wearing uniform consistently will be awarded merits and house points

💙 92% of parents who completed the survey last year on school uniform were in favour of a consistent uniform for BCHS

We look forward to welcoming all of our young people back on Wednesday and we are excited to see everyone in their new BCHS uniform!

💙💛NEW SCHOOL TIES & UNIFORM💛💙

Some parents have been in touch asking if they are able to collect school ties before our full school return on Wednesday 19 August.

We appreciate some of you may want to get some first day of term pics to celebrate our new school uniform launching!

If you would like to collect your child’s new tie we will be open on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 August from 10am-2pm.

⭐️S1-4 have a new striped tie
⭐️S5-6 have a new senior tie with the school badge

If you are unable to collect ties they will be issued on the first morning back in registration, as per original plan.

Also there seems to have been some confusion regarding uniform. Please see a copy of the letter sent on the last day of term.

There is no requirement for any branded school jumpers to be worn, however they will still be available to purchase.

We look forward to welcoming all of our young people back on Wednesday 19 August!

Some of you may be celebrating after you get your results but some of you may feel a bit disappointed but please remember that these results are just one chapter in your story.

Qualifications Scotland results certificates will arrive by post on Tuesday 4th August 2026. If you have registered with ‘My Qualifications Scotland’ you will also receive your results electronically, via text and email from 8am onwards.

Qualifications Scotland have an Appeals service for pupils. Please note that this will not be a re-mark and Qualifications Scotland will not be considering any alternative evidence - the service is a marking review.
