Following the launch of the first Jolly Literacy 2 titles in May, the remaining titles are now available to purchase, including Teacher’s Books and American English Pupil Books.

Jolly Literacy is designed to build on the foundations of Jolly Phonics, supporting children as they continue to develop their literacy skills. The programme combines Spelling, Grammar & Punctuation with Reading Comprehension & Writing Skills, helping children become confident, enthusiastic readers and writers.

Jolly Literacy 2 builds naturally on the learning from Level 1, introducing new spelling patterns and grammar concepts while continuing to develop vocabulary, comprehension and independent writing.

Sometimes it’s important to pause and reflect on where it all began.

What started as a simple idea - to help children learn to read through a joyful and effective approach - has grown into a programme used in classrooms around the world.

💛 A heartfelt thank you and farewell (but not goodbye!) 💛

For the past 10 years, we’ve been incredibly fortunate to work alongside Sian Summers Issa, first as a bright, energetic trainer, and later as a driving force behind Jolly Futures.

Sian has decided the time is right to step into the next chapter of her career. While she’ll be moving on from her leadership role, we’re delighted that she remains a Jolly Trainer and, most importantly, a treasured friend of the company.

Her impact has been extraordinary. Sian has nurtured an exceptional cohort of trainers across Africa and has been central to delivering large-scale training programmes in Kenya, Namibia, Zambia, Ethiopia, South Africa, Lesotho and Tanzania.

Through her advocacy and commitment, Jolly Phonics has been adopted as national policy in Namibia, alongside the adoption of Jolly Grammar 1 & 2 - a remarkable achievement that will benefit generations of learners.

This week, she’s with us in the office as the star presenter of our brand-new online course, a fitting moment to celebrate her legacy.

As Sian steps forward, Sheba Moyo, our Programmes Manager, will take on the role of Programmes Lead for Jolly Futures, supported by Irene Musyoki, our Project Officer in Kenya. Together, they form a strong, capable team we’re excited to see grow.

🌍📚 An exciting day at the London Book Fair!

We had the pleasure of meeting distributors and partners from all around the world and sharing the impact that Jolly Phonics continues to make in classrooms globally.

It was also fantastic to have Chris Jolly and Gilbert Jolly at the fair, meeting partners and discussing the future of literacy education.

We loved hearing the enthusiasm for our new products and resources, as well as the valuable feedback from educators and distributors who are using Jolly Phonics to help children develop strong reading and writing skills.

Conversations like these remind us how powerful collaboration can be in helping more children around the world become confident readers.
