Social Media House Rules - www.fife.gov.uk/HouseRules

Our social media channels feature a variety of information from our services and partners, keeping you informed and up to date with what's happening across Fife. We're here to help in any way that we can, and we will always aim to be supportive and respectful in our posts and any comments we respond to. We want our social media channels to be

safe, healthy, and open places for discussion and the exchange of views and we have the following house rules to help support that.

- All users must comply with the social media platform's terms of use as well as our own terms of use
- We answer enquiries/messages as soon as possible within working hours
- We will remove, in whole or in part, posts that we feel are inappropriate – for example bullying or harassment - or discriminatory against any individual or group
- You are wholly responsible for any content you post including content you choose to share

We will remove messages (where function allows) and report and/or block users on our social media channels who post messages at us which we believe are:

- abusive or obscene
- deceptive or misleading
- in violation of any intellectual property rights, including copyright
- in violation of any law or regulation
- spam and off-topic content (persistent negative and/or abusive posts in which the aim is to provoke a response)
- promotional material, including links to external websites and promotions

Anyone repeatedly engaging with us using content or language which falls into the above categories will be blocked and/or reported to the associated social media platform. We will not tolerate or respond to abusive messages. We must always remain politically neutral on social media which is why council officers are unable to reply to, endorse or engage with, any content that is of a party political nature. Political issues can be discussed with local councillors.

Today we say a goodbye to oor Elsbells as she begins her well deserved retirement 🌟!

Elspeth has been a valued member of our nursery family since we opened in August 2020. During the 27 years she has worked in Early Years, she has brought warmth, humour and commitment to everyone she has worked with!

We will miss all the fun she brings to team Methilhaven but are looking forward to having her join us for the occasional day on supply 🤩!

Thank you Elspeth, for everything you have given to our nursery families, children, older friends and staff. We wish you a retirement filled with happiness, fun and all the things you love🩷🧩!

💙 National Day of Movement 2026 💙

Today we have enjoyed trips out to Silverburn as part of the National Day of Movement. The children explored the environment by climbing trees, running and balancing! What a good way to get some activity in while having lots of fun!

💛Family Learning Friday💛

This week we had messy play on Thursday. We welcomed some new friends to join us this week! We had lots of fun exploring sand between our little toes, splashing in the water and drawing lots of pictures with the chalks💦🎨

PEEP was also on this week! We explored symmetry, matching and sorting where we matched socks into pairs and hung them on the washing line. We played lots of games of dominos to find the matching pieces and we created symmetrical pictures with our special adults! We learned a new word ‘symmetrical’ which we will continue to focus on when we move to Primary 1!!📚✏️

Next week we have our last session of Bookbug on Thursday 1.30-2pm - we would love to see lots of you there💙

📚✨ Bookbug Week ✨📚

This week we have been celebrating Bookbug Week with lots of opportunities to enjoy songs, rhymes and stories together!

Our Oak children enjoyed a special session at the Care Home with our older friends, singing a variety of songs using the tap tap box and Lycra🎶

Meanwhile, our Acorn children have been busy learning some new songs with the Lycra too - especially enjoying lots of giggles while singing “Can You Tell Me?” and guessing who is missing! 😊

We also hosted two family sessions this week with the morning sharing the story The Hairy Toe and the afternoon having Shark in the Park! We sang different songs with scarves, Lycra and the puppets! ♥️
