Llanilid devlopment update
-------------------------------
Plans have just been published detailing the reserved matters application for the development of the Parc Llanilid mixed use area comprising A1, A2, A3 and D1 uses, a neighbourhood equipped area of play, 78no. dwellings (36 of which to be occupied as affordable units), and associated infrastructure.

I have included some screenshots of the plans submitted to RCT showing the overall area and the zoomed in view of the new retail area where there is 1 large unit and 6 smaller units with parking provision.

I have also included the area of the proposed health centre site which is currently only a draft and is included only to give an early idea of the location and the associated parking facilities. The plans are may change for the health centre before they are submitted in the future.

Llanilid Primary School Development
-------------------------------------------
I have been asked by a number of residents as to the progress on the new Llanilid Primary School. I have the following information from RCT officers...

---
Persimmon are continuing to clear the site and are working towards handing over the land to the Council later this year. Once RCT take ownership of the site, they will be able to determine a revised programme for delivery of the new school that will be shared with stakeholders. Until Persimmon complete their work there is unfortunately little that can be done as a Council to progress the project.

RCT Corporate Resources will be managing the build and will be responsible for drafting the programme, but based on other projects it is expected to take a minimum of 2 years following handover of the land.
---

I will continue to share updates on this when they become available. Any questions, please get in touch.

-----------------------------------------

Road resurfacing will take place as indicated on the plan at the following times:

Friday 05/06/2026 - 8am to 5pm
and
Monday 08/06/2026 - 8am to 5pm

It is essential that both sides of this length of carriageway is kept clear of parked vehicles, during the works.

Contractors will aim to Allow access where possible to local residents during the works but will ask that this is to be kept at a minimum. There may be delays for access/egress during working hours.

Please be aware that due to the flexible nature of the programme and potential weather constraints, the dates may be subject to minor adjustments.
