Dear Parents and Carers,

Following careful consideration and in the consultation across the Brynmawr cluster, I am writing to inform you that St Mary’s RC School will be closed Wednesday 24th June and Thursday 25th June due to the current red weather warning for extreme heat.

To ensure that learning continues during the closure, teachers will provide activities and resources through class dojo. We ask that pupils engage with these learning opportunities where possible.

As there is a forecast of some very warm weather this week, children can come to school wearing their P.E kits if they prefer.

Please can you ensure your child:

- Apply suncream before coming to school
- Bring a sun hat
- Brings a water bottle to stay hydrated

A huge thank you to all that spent money in the book fair. You helped to raise £280 for us to spend on books for each class.

After School Clubs - Summer 2

Next week will be our last round of clubs for this term, we'll be introducing a new round of clubs after half term.

There'll be no registration for these clubs so children simply attend the club they wish to attend.

The clubs will be -

Monday 3.30 - 4.15pm - Games Club

Tuesday 3.30 - 4.15 PM - Pray and Play Club

Thursday 3.30 - 4.15pm - Art Club

Friday 3.30 - 4.30pm Multi Skills with Jamie will continue for those that are already registered.
