We are delighted to have raised £320 at our Stage Academy Summer School for The Archie Foundation Tayside Glenlaw House Comfort Fund ❤️🖤

Every donation, fundraiser, partnership and act of support helps The Archie Foundation be there for babies, children and families across Tayside 💙

Your support helps us make hospital and healthcare experiences a little easier for babies, children and families!

Here are some examples of the impact your support has:
- Transforming clinical spaces into colourful and children friendly environments
- At Glenlaw House, support has helped create calming and accessible spaces for children with severe and complex medical needs. It also allows us to bring special visits and activities directly to children who may find it difficult to access these elsewhere.
- For families experiencing a baby in neonatal care, Archie provides resources to help brothers and sisters feel included and supported in what can be a confusing and emotional time.
- Through Archie's Child Bereavement service, we support children and families before and after the death of someone important to them, providing specialist resources, one-to-one support, memory building and guidance for as long as the family needs.

🌈And this is just a snapshot of some of the things your support in Tayside helps make possible - we frequently hear from families, NHS teams and other professionals about things that could make a meaningful difference to a child's experience!

🕊️ 11 SEPTEMBER 2026 | 25 YEARS ON 💙

Tonight, when our company takes to the stage for the second performance of COME FROM AWAY, it will carry a significance unlike any other night of our run.

Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001.

We remember the thousands of lives lost that day, their families and loved ones, and all those whose lives were changed forever.

Our show begins in the shadow of those events, but Come From Away tells another part of the story.

When US airspace closed, 38 planes carrying almost 7,000 passengers and crew were diverted to Gander, Newfoundland. Thousands of people suddenly found themselves stranded, frightened and uncertain.

And a community responded.

They opened their schools, halls and homes. They made food, found beds, cared for animals and offered whatever they could to complete strangers.

For five days, they simply looked after one another.

Tonight, exactly 25 years after the events that brought those planes to Gander, we have the enormous privilege of standing on the Whitehall Theatre stage and sharing the stories of the real people who were there.

That responsibility has never been lost on our company.

Tonight is more than simply the second night of our run. It is an opportunity to remember those who were lost and to share a story about what happened when, at one of the darkest moments in modern history, ordinary people responded with kindness, compassion and humanity.

We will be incredibly proud to tell their story tonight. 💙

On September 11, the world stopped.
On September 12, their stories moved us all.

🎭 IT’S OPENING NIGHT… WELCOME TO THE ROCK! ✈️🌎💙

After months of rehearsals, preparation and telling you all about this extraordinary story, tonight we finally get to tell it.

COME FROM AWAY opens at the Whitehall Theatre TONIGHT!

And what better way to mark opening day than with your first proper look at our production? 👀

🎥 Here it is — our official COME FROM AWAY trailer, filmed at our dress rehearsal!

Tonight, our twelve incredible performers will step onto the stage, become dozens of characters and take you back to Gander, Newfoundland, where 38 planes carrying almost 7,000 passengers and crew were unexpectedly diverted following the events of September 11, 2001.

What happened next is a story of kindness, humour, friendship, love and community — ordinary people responding to extraordinary circumstances by simply asking:

“What can we do to help?”

There’s something particularly special about telling this story this week. Tomorrow, we will perform on the 25th anniversary of September 11 — honouring the real people whose experiences inspired the musical and celebrating the humanity that emerged in the days that followed.

We could not be prouder of our cast, band and entire team who have poured so much into bringing this production to the stage.

Now all we need is you. ❤️

Turn the volume up, watch the trailer… and then come experience it for yourself.

🌎 WHEN THE REAL PEOPLE BEHIND THE STORY SEND THEIR SUPPORT… ✈️💙

As we prepare to bring COME FROM AWAY to the Whitehall Theatre next week, we’ve received some messages that mean an incredible amount to our entire company.

We’ve been lucky enough to hear from some of the real people whose lives and experiences inspired the characters and stories you’ll see on our stage — including Beverley Bass, Nick and Diane Marson, and Diane Davis.

For months, these have been names in our scripts. We’ve researched their experiences, told their stories in rehearsals and worked to understand just a little of what those extraordinary days in September 2001 meant to them.

But they aren’t simply characters in a musical.

They’re real people. And this really happened.

👩‍✈️ Beverley Bass was one of the pilots diverted to Gander, captaining an American Airlines flight when US airspace closed.

❤️ Nick and Diane Marson arrived in Newfoundland as strangers — and left having begun a relationship that would ultimately lead to marriage.

💙 Diane Davis was one of the many Newfoundlanders who stepped forward when thousands of unexpected visitors arrived, helping provide the welcome and care that sits at the heart of this remarkable story.

To receive their messages of support as we get ready to tell this story in Dundee is incredibly special — particularly as our production takes place across the 25th anniversary of September 11.

To Beverley, Nick, Diane and Diane — thank you. Thank you for sharing your stories, for continuing to support productions of Come From Away around the world, and for sending your encouragement all the way to Dundee.

We hope we do you proud. 💙

🎥 Watch their special messages to our company ahead of opening night…

🕊️ ONE WEEK TODAY | 25 YEARS ON 💙

A week today, the world will mark 25 years since September 11, 2001.

It was a day that changed the world and the events of that morning are also where the story of COME FROM AWAY begins.

As US airspace closed, thousands of aircraft were forced to change course. 38 planes carrying almost 7,000 passengers and crew were diverted to Gander, Newfoundland, arriving in a community completely unprepared for what was about to happen.

What followed over the next five days was extraordinary.

At a time of unimaginable tragedy, the people of Gander and the surrounding communities responded with kindness. They opened their schools, halls and homes. They prepared meals, found beds, donated clothes, cared for animals and welcomed thousands of frightened strangers.

Those acts of humanity became the true story at the heart of Come From Away.

There is therefore something incredibly significant for our company about the dates on which we are telling this story.

Our production runs from 10–12 September, meaning that on Friday 11 September 2026, exactly 25 years after the events that brought those 38 planes to Gander, our company will stand on the Whitehall Theatre stage and tell their story.

We don’t take that privilege lightly.

We have spent a great deal of time learning about the real people behind the characters we portray and listening to those who were actually there. Our hope is simply that we can honour their experiences and the remarkable humanity they showed during those five days.

25 years later, we remember those who were lost.

And through this extraordinary musical, we also remember what happened next, when, in one small corner of the world, thousands of strangers came together and showed us the very best of humanity. 💙

On September 11, the world stopped.
On September 12, their stories moved us all.
