We are incredibly proud to introduce the cast of Come From Away, coming to the Whitehall Theatre, Dundee from 10–12 September 2026.

Over the past few months, this talented company has been working tirelessly to bring one of the most moving and inspiring true stories ever told to the stage.

Set against the backdrop of the events of 11 September 2001, Come From Away tells the extraordinary true story of kindness, compassion and humanity shown by the people of Gander, Newfoundland, when thousands of stranded passengers found themselves far from home.

Where were you on 11 September 2001?

Twenty-five years ago this September, the world changed forever.

While the events of that day are remembered across the globe, what stayed with many people in the days that followed were the extraordinary acts of kindness shown to complete strangers.

As Stage Academy Productions prepares to bring the Dundee premiere of Come From Away to the The Whitehall Theatre, across the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we’d like to tell your stories.

Were you travelling when US airspace closed?

Did you find yourself unexpectedly stranded?

Were you one of the passengers diverted to Gander, Newfoundland?

Did you have family or friends affected?

Or do you simply remember exactly where you were when you heard the news?

We’re looking for people across Dundee, Angus, Tayside & Fife to share their memories, photographs and experiences from that remarkable week.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing these stories as we celebrate the compassion, resilience and community that inspired Come From Away.
