Our visits to Redwood House Care Home have been such a special part of our nursery journey since 2018. ❤️

Over the years, we have built such strong and meaningful relationships between our children and the residents. It is wonderful to see the genuine bonds that form between them, friendships that bring so much joy to everyone involved. 🥰

This week they said a very emotional goodbye to Sydney, who is leaving us to start Primary 1, along with some of our other children who are moving on to their next adventure. They will be missed so much by both the residents and staff at Redwood House. ❤️

The good news is that our visits will continue three times every week, with the children who are staying with us continuing to enjoy these special relationships. We will also be welcoming some new little faces to our visits, who we know will quickly become a much loved part of the Redwood House family. 🥰

A very special thank you to the staff and residents of Redwood House for the love, kindness and wonderful relationships you share with the children. We feel so lucky to have you as part of our Bumbly Bees family. 🐝❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our day so special.

🌿 Thank you to Edens Garden for bringing along your amazing animals.
🍦 Thank you to Frankie’s Ice Cream Van for the delicious treats and ice cream.
🎨 Thank you to Fiona for the incredible face painting.
🎈 Thank you to Ballooning Marvellous Dundee for our balloons
🧁 And a very special mention to Rafe for donating his delicious baking to our bake sale, our very own youngest ⭐️ Star Baker! ⭐️

Thank you to our amazing staff for running the glitter tattoos, photo booth, bake sale and raffle. Thank you to our apprentice Eve for spending her time baking lots of delicious treats for our bake sale and to all of our wonderful families for spending the morning making memories with us.

Finally, to our five graduates… 🎓

Watching you grow, learn and flourish has been such a privilege. Although we’re so excited for your next adventure, it won’t be the same without you 🥹 We will miss each and every one of you more than you’ll ever know.

✨ A Huge Congratulations to Katie! ✨

Today we are celebrating a very special achievement as Katie has officially completed her BA Childhood Practice Degree! 🎓💛

Katie first joined me back in 2017 on a school placement, and over the years I have had the privilege of watching her grow into the incredible practitioner she is today. She has developed into a confident, knowledgeable and passionate early years professional who always puts children at the heart of everything she does.

Katie is much more than a member of staff, she is a good friend and a valued part of the Bumbly Bees family. The children absolutely adore her, our families think the world of her, and her kindness, dedication and hard work never go unnoticed.

I don’t think Katie fully realises just how much she is appreciated and how lucky we are to have her as part of our team.

Katie, you should be incredibly proud of yourself and all that you have achieved. Completing a degree alongside working is not easy !, and your determination and commitment have been inspiring to see.

🌺 Such a beautiful message from Redwood House today …

We have been visiting since 2018, and what started as a simple connection has grown into something special. Three times a week, our children walk through those doors and every single visit brings joy and meaningful moments for everyone involved.

Intergenerational relationships are incredibly important . The bonds that form between our children and the residents are something you can’t teach. From tiny tots taking their first steps into the home, to confident little ones heading off to school, the residents are part of that journey and that is something so precious.

We are so lucky to witness these connections grow over time. The kindness and happiness on both sides remind us why this is so important.

Thank you to all the wonderful residents and staff for always welcoming us, we love every visit 🌺🐝💛

🐝🪴Our Garden Committee Meeting 🪴🐝

Yesterday at Bumbly Bees, our children took the lead in planning our exciting garden makeover, sharing ideas, making decisions and designing a space inspired by their imaginations 💭✨

With teapots, china cups, fruit and a biscuit, clipboards and their “minutes” on the blackboard, it was a truly meaningful experience.

Rooted in The Curiosity Approach, this supports children to be confident, included and heard 🌺

We can’t wait to bring their ideas to life and create a garden space full of curiosity, wonder and possibility 🌼 watch this space…….

🌿 Waiting List Update 🌿

A little update for families waiting for a space with us 💛

We are currently waiting on final confirmation from families and local authority regarding a few children moving into their next stage of early learning. We expect this update by 15th May.

Once confirmed, we will begin working through our waiting list.
