🏗️ Student Council Site Visit 🏗️

Twelve members of our Student Council were given the exciting opportunity to tour the school’s building expansion project this week.

They gained a fascinating insight into the new classrooms being constructed and learned about the many considerations involved in a major building project, including safety, sustainability, weather challenges and building regulations.

Our student representatives will be sharing what they learned with their peers in an upcoming assembly, helping to keep the wider school community informed about the progress of this exciting development.

A huge well done to all involved for representing The Kingsbrook School so positively and professionally. 👏

Y7 - Focus 2D Design Projects

Leo has become the first student to complete his personalised DT project, demonstrating fantastic creativity, craftsmanship and perseverance throughout. From measuring, marking and chiselling, to using Focus 2D Designer and the laser cutter, he completed every stage of the build himself before assembling the final product.

⚽ Next stop: we’re sending photos of his finished project to liverpoolfc so they can see his incredible work!

We are aware of an increasing number of e-scooters being used in our local community and, sadly, there have already been injuries involving pupils both at our school and at other local schools.

We ask all parents, carers and members of our community to work with us in reinforcing the law around e-scooter use and challenging unsafe behaviour where appropriate.

By working together, we can help prevent further accidents and reduce the risk of a far more serious incident occurring in the future. THANK YOU!

Our School Production for November 2026 is… 🥁 🥁 🥁

This morning, we welcomed officers from Thames Valley Police into school with their Knife Arch initiative to help educate pupils about the dangers of knife crime and the importance of not bringing prohibited or dangerous items into school or the wider community.

The vast majority of pupils were scanned on arrival and, despite a short delay to queues this morning, we are extremely pleased to report that no prohibited items were found on any of our pupils. A fantastic reflection of our students and the positive culture we continue to build together at TKS. 👏

However, one member of our school community (pictured) did have items confiscated… including a spoon, 12p in loose change and a suspiciously abandoned Twix wrapper. He was swiftly escorted to the local police station for “further questioning.” 🚔🍫😂

A huge thank you to the officers from Thames Valley Police for supporting us with this important educational visit.
