As we reach the end of another fantastic school year, we would like to say a huge thank you to all of our teachers for their unwavering hard work, dedication and commitment to supporting every pupil.

Our staff go above and beyond each day to inspire, encourage and care for our young people, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they do.

✈️ Kingsbrook Tours 2025–26 🌍

What a journey, what a year,
Full of memories we’ll always hold dear.

From snowy slopes in Italy’s height,
Our skiers carved with pure delight.

To Wales, where Outward Bound inspired,
With courage, teamwork and dreams acquired.

Through Peak District trails and Wendover too,
Our Duke of Edinburgh students saw adventures through.

Year 7 explored the Isle of Wight with pride,
Making friendships and memories side by side.

But wait… our travels aren’t quite through,
There’s one more adventure waiting for a lucky few!

Tomorrow, Cornwall calls with waves to ride,
For watersports, laughter and the ocean tide.

So here’s to every pupil, every member of staff, every mile we’ve roamed,
Because the best adventures are the ones we’ve shared away from home.

Design & Technology Showcase! 🛠️✨

It’s been fantastic to see the creativity, precision and technical skills on display across our Design & Technology department this term!

🔹 Year 7 have been developing their measuring, marking and manufacturing skills through their ‘Talking Heads’ project before creating their own personalised designs.

🔹 Year 8 have demonstrated outstanding accuracy and problem-solving while producing detailed DSLR camera prototypes, mastering complex 3D card modelling techniques.

🔹 Year 9 have taken on the role of architects, using professional 3D CAD software to design innovative beach huts inspired by famous architectural styles.

🔹 Year 10 have explored the exciting world of Deconstructivist architecture, following the full design process from research and modelling to CAD and laser-cutting to create impressive structural shelter prototypes.

We are incredibly proud of the imagination, resilience and craftsmanship shown by our students. Their projects demonstrate not only excellent practical skills but also the creativity and innovation that are at the heart of Design & Technology.

World of Work Success! 🌟

We are incredibly proud of our Year 8 and Year 10 pupils who recently stepped into the world of work.

Our Year 8 students took part in Take Your Child to Work Day, while our Year 10 students completed a full week of work experience across a wide range of industries.

The feedback from employers has been overwhelmingly positive, with our pupils praised for the way they represented themselves and The Kingsbrook School. Their enthusiasm, professionalism and positive attitudes made a fantastic impression throughout the week.

Even more excitingly, many students have already been offered further opportunities as a result of their placements, including volunteering roles, potential summer jobs, training opportunities and even apprenticeships.

A huge thank you to all of the employers who supported our pupils and helped inspire their future career aspirations.

Well done to every single student involved – you did yourselves and our school community proud! 👏

✨ Annual Awards Evening 2026 ✨

What a fantastic evening celebrating the achievements of our incredible students!

Our Annual Awards Evening recognised pupils who have excelled across every aspect of school life. Awards were presented for achievement across all curriculum subjects, alongside Pastoral Awards, Character Awards, and our prestigious Special Awards for Outstanding Achievement.

Each award reflects the hard work, commitment, resilience and ambition our students have shown throughout the year. We are immensely proud of every pupil who was nominated and offer our warmest congratulations to all of this year’s award winners.

A special thank you goes to our brilliant Year 10 hosts, Rowan and Catherine, who led the evening with confidence, professionalism and humour. They did an outstanding job and were wonderful ambassadors for our school.

Thank you to all the families, staff and governors who joined us to celebrate our students’ success. Your support helps make evenings like these so special.
