Botley Beats Woodwind Teaching is sadly closing it's doors at the end of this term. Stan, Sammy and myself are off on an adventure and relocating to Ulverston in Cumbria in the new year. I am holding a goodbye celebration and I would be delighted to see any current and former students there.

Merry Christmas everyone from Botley Beats Woodwind Teaching!

For the first time in 6 months Botley Beats is back to a normal timetable!!! Back in school tomorrow and for my private students a mix of online and face to face lessons. I am really looking forward to seeing everyone again. I have been tremendously proud of all my students who have not only adapted to online learning, but have flourished. A magnificent effort - well done!

Now with the new term in mind - some important information.

HOW WILL LESSONS BE WITH COVID IN MIND?

To make my face to face lessons safe I have invested in a full height screen to go between my self and my student. I will also be wearing a visor.

The stand, door handle and any furniture touched will be wiped down with 70% alcohol sanitiser before and after each lesson

Windows will be kept open

Students will be expected to put together their instruments in their car reducing contact in my home

New music will be emailed in advance of lessons

Lesson notes will be emailed

Face to face lessons will be restricted to one per month to reduce the risk of cross contamination. This will be under constant review.

This would be a great thing for my flute students to enter. Go for it!

It's week 6 of our BFS challenge! This week we'd like to have a special week for flute players aged 13 to 18. Please help spread the word and invite our younger flute players to get involved - we'd love to hear them!

4/ On Sunday we will contact our winner and with parental permission we will share on our social medias.
