On Friday we had a fantastic evening celebrating with our KTS leavers, their families, classmates and staff at Prom 2026. I will share some of the photos on Dojo and send some to families individually.

Everyone had a great evening. Thanks to Lauren for organising, Lacey for the amazing photos, Lesley for cooking the food, DJ Marcus, Karen at Senses for the chair covers and bows, Brotton Community Centre Bingo who donated £100 for the sweet trolley, the photo booth and the ice cream van, the staff for supporting the pupils (and blew up a lot of balloons) and the wonderful pupils and families who attended.

On Monday, KTS proudly took to the pitch for a football match against KHS. Despite the final score, our pupils shone with outstanding sportsmanship, unwavering determination, and infectious enthusiasm. Their teamwork and spirit were a joy to watch and a credit to our school.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful pupils and staff at Kirkleatham Hall School, to everyone from KTS who came along to cheer and support, and to St Peter’s for generously providing the football pitch. It was a fantastic afternoon of sport, friendship, and community.

School Uniform information for parents/carers and new parents/carers

At KTS Academy, we recognise that many of our pupils have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, and that comfort and accessibility are essential to their wellbeing and learning.

Our Uniform Policy is written in line with the Children and Wellbeing in Schools Act 2026, which promotes inclusive and flexible uniform policies. Parents and carers may choose to purchase uniform with a KTS logo, but there is no requirement to do so and this can be done from a variety of outlets.

Should you require support with accessing a second hand uniform please contact the school office or class teacher.

Due to a continued increase in pupil numbers, KTS Academy are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and committed Level 2 Teaching Assistants to join our supportive and forward-thinking school community from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and who is keen to develop professionally within a highly nurturing environment.

At KTS, every role matter’s. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital part in helping our pupils to succeed, working closely with experienced teachers and a dedicated staff team.

KTS Academy is a place where you will be valued, supported, and encouraged to develop your skills. Whether you are experienced in SEND or looking to begin or further your career in education, we will invest in you and provide opportunities to work across the Academy to broaden your experience.

KTS Academy is incredibly proud to have achieved the Silver School Games Mark, a fantastic recognition of our commitment to sport and physical activity. This achievement reflects the dedication and enthusiasm of our whole school community, with special thanks to Claire, Hannah and Faye for their outstanding hard work in driving our physical development and PE provision forward. We are also grateful for the continued support and opportunities provided by the Cleveland School Sports Partnership, which play a key role in helping our pupils thrive.

This week, we were thrilled to welcome a fantastic group of local companies into school to deliver an inspiring STEM careers event for our pupils.

Our pupils absolutely loved the experience! It was wonderful to see so many engaged in hands-on, practical activities that were completely new to them. Although staff were initially a little nervous about the use of tools such as hammers, the pupils quickly proved how responsible they can be, working safely and listening brilliantly to instructions.

The opportunity to learn real-life skills in such an interactive way made a lasting impression on everyone involved.
