What a lovely shape hunt around the town we used our view finders to spot our basic shapes in the environment whilst having a little walk around and then we stopped off for a little play on the park 😁
Big group.have had a lovely week we have been exploring science. We have been learning lots of new vocabulary through our investigations and experiments. We have explored magnets and what items are magnetic, we've explored capacity predicting which items we think had the biggest and smallest capacity, we've explored how cooling and heating different materials change their properties e.g water cooled.freezes and ice heated melts. We've explored different fruits and flowers to.find Thier seeds. And lots lots more. We finished our week with a lovely trip to enginuity science museum to consolidate our learning.
The little bumble bees have had a fun week learning to communicate with lots of new vocabulary. We enjoyed a listening walk on Monday around the water courses and Wednesday we have had a dinosaur land to explore.😁
We've had a lovely week this week exploring our topic of mini beasts
What a lovely trip we had to Dudley Zoo on Friday. We explored the different habitats that animals live in and talked about the differences in their appearances. We did have lots of fun also mimicking the noises they all made and having a little play on the park at the end.
We've all had a lovely week celebrating the kings coronation learning all about the king the royal family and London. We've finished our week with a coronation picnic and party today with a red white and blue theme. We've all had lots of fun

This week both groups have been exploring the story of Easter. We have visited our local church and the library as part of this topic.
Little group have had a lovely week looking at farms as our topic. We have enjoyed a farm trip on Monday to meet lots of baby animals , we've used animals for counting and shape activities. We've developed our turn taking and team work by completing large floor puzzles, playing Baba bubbles game and we've played a build our own farm game on the tablet taking turns and working together to complete. we've also enjoyed lots of craft activities to create our own animals. We've had lots of fun and loved this topic.
Whilst on a little spring walk around town we had a lovely surprise this morning and I fond these lovely deer in one of the fields. The children were excited to watch them jumping and skipping around asking lots of questions about them. ☺️

This week big group have been starting to look at spring.
We've been practicing sequencing our names, we've been on lots of spring walks and collected different spring items to create pictures and use in our activities. We've been using flowers in our maths and have carried out some different experiments. The skittles rainbow experiment and today the frozen flowers how can we melt the ice experiment. We've had lots of fun starting to learn about spring and the signs of spring
As of July we have available space for full time or part time hours. This is due to our next group of school leavers starting to leave us for their next adventure at school. Both childminders have an ofsted inspection graded good in all areas.

This week little group have been exploring how to help our planet we've talked about putting our rubbish in the bin and recycling if we can. We've made our own world pictures and cookies. We've been planet helpers and cleared the rubbish out of our sea dip tray and visit the local recycling centres to sort out own rubbish. We've had lots of fun
Big group have had lots of fun finishing our people who help us locally theme; we've been hairdressers, doctors, builders and we enjoyed a little trip to the library to find some books about.our bodies
The older bumble bee group had a lovely time Monday practicing our letters by making a letter that we posted home. We visited the local post office and explored what happens with parcels, letters and how we can get stamps. We then posted them in the post box and awaited the post man's delivery. 😄
This week we have been learning about people who help us in our local community we've been on walks to explore what is in our local area and talked together about how all those places and people help us
We've then used this in our activities and role play. We've enjoyed learning all about farmers, dentists, pharmacy, teachers and vets.
We had fun exploring the snow this morning. We found different animal prints and explored big and small with our prints in the snow and had some snow fun 😄
This week we have started our topic on people who help us.
We are currently looking at the emergency services, how they help us and how we contact them and why we might need to contact them.
Both groups have enjoyed lots of role play, dressing up, we've pretended to be firefighters putting out the fire, we've been policemen and arrested the bad guys. We've made our own police records doing our finger prints and practicing our drawing and writing skills. We've had lots of fun and are looking forwards to continuing with this theme next week
We would like to take this chance to thank all our parents and little bumble bees for your continued support through what has been another year of fun and learning. We've had an amazing year with your precious bumblebees making memories and helping them develop all those amazing little skills. We carnt wait to carry on in the new year continuing our fun home learning sprinkled with outdoor learning and more trips. Happy st.lucia day to one of our families who celebrate this festival in Sweden. We have enjoyed making saffron buns and our celebration hats.
What a lovely week we've had visiting Santa at wonderland, having our sponsored Elf days playing games, elf dancing and singing. Eating our yummy Christmas dinner and lots of Christmas craft it's so lovely to see the little ones faces as the magic of Christmas builds☃️🎄

The little bumble bees have had a week exploring Remembrance and the difference in the poppies. We have created our own poppies using different techniques, role played in the tuff tray using our imaginations to explore how the soldiers would have felt, used our voices and bodies to create war sounds, explored the community for poppies and did our two minutes silence in the memorial gardens.
This week the older group have been learning about remembrance day and why we wear our poppies, we've made our own poppies and representation of Flanders Fields, we have use poppies to develop our maths and writing skills and we have joined in with the town's 2 minute silence in the square today.
What a lovely bonfire week we have had in the big group. I'm amazed with their knowledge of how to keep safe from the fire works and sparklers and how it can effect the animals in our woodlands. We've been working on our shapes and number recognition this week and will continue to work on these the coming weeks but a great start. They really enjoyed using their fine manipulative skills to create pictures using different equipment and a little visit to park for a Autumn play. Alice
The little bumble bee group has enjoyed exploring harvest this week as our topic. We have learnt some new vocabulary from exploring the harvest items weight, colour and sizes and what print they make in our Dip trays. We have explored letters in our names by corn rolling pictures, created some vegetable soup with our chopping and peeling skills and been out exploring the autumn leaves that have changed colour creating crowns and lots more across the week 😁
The big bumble bees have enjoyed exploring Autumn again this week during our focused activities. We have explored repeated patterns using the leaves and apples, explored using short and long language measuring leaves with the mobilo, creating our names in the sand practicing left to right, fine manipulation control with tweezers and conker number ordering and lots more across the week 😁
What a lovely morning we have had hunting for the scarecrows around town. The children really enjoyed finding the different ones,thank you all the participants for your hard work and we hope other people come out to spot them over the next few days 😊
