r community to have the ‘courage to step out of the boat’. Brookland is a school that is filled with happiness and enjoyment. We build and nurture strong relationships, encouraging children to make positive choices in their lives. Behaviour is excellent and children understand the concept of READY, RESPECTFUL, SAFE. We know that providing the best possible start helps to ensure lifelong success. This is why we place great emphasis on nurturing children and well-being from day one. If we get this right, children will be more successful. Our curriculum is based around memorable learning experiences using a concept based learning model. Areas of the curriculum are explored using enquiry questions within the themes of discover, explore, create. Each term an area of the curriculum takes a lead in the learning immersing pupils in exciting projects with beautiful outcomes. We embrace the use of the outdoors, Woodland@Brookland is our version of forest school/outdoor learning.

What a fabulous first week back! Our Tea & Tissues event gave Reception parents a chance to settle in with a cuppa while their little ones started their Brookland journey. We hope you're all in full swing of the summer holidays.

Don't forget... We are excited for our Friends of Brookland C of E School Brookland Hybrid Challenge, taking place during the school day on Thursday 24th September 2026 at Brookland CE Primary School!

Inspired by the popular HYROX fitness events, children will take part in a fun and age-appropriate challenge including activities such as burpees, tyre pushes, create pulls and more. This exciting event will encourage teamwork, resilience, fitness and lots of fun!

We are raising money to help provide and replace emergency adrenaline auto-injectors (EpiPens) for our school. From September 2026, schools are legally required to have these life-saving devices available on site. The annual cost to maintain this provision is approximately £650 per year.

Every penny raised will help us keep our school community safe and ensure we are prepared to support children who may experience a severe allergic reaction.

How can you help?
We are asking children to seek sponsorship from family and friends for taking part in the challenge. Whether it's a small donation or a larger contribution, every amount makes a difference.

Yesterday, we came together for our End of Year Service to celebrate another wonderful year at Brookland.

We reflected on the achievements of our pupils and listened to heartfelt speeches from our Year 6 children, who shared treasured memories, laughter, and words of encouragement for those following in their footsteps. There wasn't a dry eye in the room.

To our incredible Year 6 pupils, thank you for the joy, kindness and determination you've brought to Brookland. It has been a privilege to watch you grow, and we wish you every success as you begin your next adventure at secondary school. Remember, you'll always be part of the Brookland family.

2026 Academic Year – That's a Wrap!

As we bring another fantastic academic year to a close, we'd like to say a huge thank you to the Friends of Brookland School (FBS) Friends of Brookland C of E School for their incredible support throughout the year.

A special thank you for generously funding the bouncy castles from Little Nick's Castles and delicious Jubbly ice lollies at our Fun Day – they brought so many smiles and helped make the day extra special for our children!

These wonderful treats were made possible thanks to the amazing fundraising efforts of the FBS through events such as the Summer Fayre and the continued support of our school community.

To everyone who volunteers their time, attends events, makes donations, buys raffle tickets, or supports the FBS in any way – thank you. Your generosity helps provide exciting activities, enrich school trips, and fund valuable resources that benefit every child at Brookland Church of England Primary School.

We have very exciting news!

We are delighted to announce that we, Brookland Church of England Primary School, have achieved the School Games GOLD Mark Award for the 2025/26 academic year.

The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

A huge thank you to Mrs Creane our sports lead and The Sports Trust for the opportunities for us to join in with other schools and take part in competitive and inclusive sports.

Magical summer performance of Matilda!

After months of rehearsals, learning lines, practising songs on repeat (we're sure many of you know every word by now!), sorting costumes, building sets and making sure every technical detail was just right, our pupils took to the stage and absolutely amazed us.

Class 4 led the way with outstanding performances in the main roles, while the rest of the school brought so much energy, character and beautiful singing to every scene. Together, they created something truly special.

It was wonderful to see so many family and friends cheering them on, and the smiles, laughter and applause at the end of each performance said it all.

We couldn't be prouder of every single pupil. Thank you for your hard work, courage and enthusiasm. Well done everyone.

What a fantastic afternoon we had at Three Hills Sports Park yesterday taking part in the annual District Sports competition!

Our children competed in a variety of track and field events, demonstrating determination, resilience and outstanding effort in every event. It was wonderful to see them supporting and encouraging one another and celebrating each other's achievements.

Every child represented Brookland with pride, enthusiasm and excellent sportsmanship. We couldn't be prouder of them all.

Well done all that took part – we think the huge smiles say it all!

A HUGE thank you to our amazing Friends of Brookland (FBS) for their incredibly generous contribution towards funding our fantastic new playground markings!

Our playground has been transformed with a brand new 1–100 number line, which will be used not only during playtimes but also as a fantastic learning resource within lessons, helping to bring maths to life in a fun and active way!

We're also thrilled with our new Nature Trail, which encourages exploration while helping children develop their agility, balance and coordination through active play.

A big thank you also goes to Sovereign Play Equipment & Creative Preformed Markings for doing such a brilliant job installing the markings—they look absolutely fantastic!

We are so grateful to Friends of Brookland C of E School (FBS) for continually supporting our school with events and fun fundraising ideas which help fund exceptional extras for our school!
