Unfortunately as many staff across our 3 Bromyard schools live quite some way away we have had to take the decision to close Bredenbury, QE and St. Peter's today as we simply can not ensure a safe number of staff on site. Additionally some transport is not running and we have some road closures also affecting our ability to open.
Though we really do appreciate this may cause some childcare issues for parents it is not a decision we take lightly and always try to open, but today I am afraid it is just too problematic. As long as there are no major changes over the weekend all schools will be open on Monday.
I am sure the children will enjoy the snow, take care and be safe everyone.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Trevor Hayes, former Deputy Headteacher of Queen Elizabeth High School who died peacefully on Wednesday 8th October 2025 in Hereford Hospital. Trevor had been ill for some time and fought valiantly against his illness until the end.

Trevor will be well known to many in Bromyard and the wider area for his long and distinguished career in education and educational training. His work as a governor and most recently as a member for Three Counties Academy Trust was instrumental in bringing the local schools together in closer collaboration.

On behalf of the staff and pupils, both past and present, of Queen Elizabeth High School and the wider community of Three Counties Academy Trust, I extend our condolences to Trevor’s family and remember fondly his compassion, friendship and distinguished contribution to education in the Bromyard area.

Confirmation that our Open Evening takes place on Tuesday 26th September between 5.30pm and 8.00pm with an Executive Headteacher and Head of School talk to prospective parents and pupils at 6.30pm.
