A Huge Well Done to Seth! 🎉

Seth has successfully completed his 5K in a day challenge in support of Cystic Fibrosis!

Not only did he complete the challenge, but he also surpassed his fundraising target, raising even more money for this incredibly worthy cause.

A big thank you to the Rotary Club for kindly funding a trip to Twycross Zoo for 56 of our pupils!
Pupils enjoyed a day exploring the zoo and seeing a variety of animals, including giraffes, penguins, snow leopards and chimpanzees. Although we were caught in a thundery shower, everyone had a great time and made the most of the experience.🐧🦒

Fresh from last year's triumph in winning the 2025 competition, our girls team showed grit, determination and tremendous team spirit to win the competition again, for a second year running, not conceding a goal in the whole tournament! The girls topped their group, then displayed a dominant performance, beating Knowle 3-0 in the semi-final. This set up a tense final showdown against local rivals Witton Middle School. With the game deadlocked goalless at full time, the girls held their nerve to secure the victory in the resulting penalty shootout. A truly superb achievement to be crowned 2026 champions, and even more incredible that the girls have managed to be winners of this tournament for the second year running- we are so proud of each and every one of them!

Yesterday marked a phenomenal day for St John's Middle School as our KS2 football teams had tremendous success in the Vertu Primary Schools Football Tournament, hosted at Knighthead Park, the home of Birmingham City FC. Our boys finished top of their group, being undefeated after their 3 games, before losing their semi-final against the eventual tournament winners. They can hold their heads high after a superb display.

Wow! What an incredible week our Year 8 pupils have had at Arete!
Coasteering, rock climbing, caving, gorge walking, bouldering, weaselling, body boarding… they’ve thrown themselves into every challenge with courage, teamwork and huge smiles.

We are unbelievably proud of the resilience, perseverance and character they’ve shown. They’ve been a credit to themselves and to St John's all week.

This morning, we hosted a special Pizza Party for a select group of pupils and their families! Parents and guardians joined us to create their own delicious pizzas and enjoy some quality time together.

It was wonderful to see everyone getting creative, having fun, and sharing smiles over freshly made pizza. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning so enjoyable! 👏😊

A huge well done to our amazing Year 6 pupils who have been working so hard during their SATs this week! ⭐

To help everyone feel focused and ready for the day ahead, the children enjoyed some light exercises and fun activities each morning. We are incredibly proud of their resilience, determination, and positive attitudes throughout the week.
