We’re so proud to share that Fairfield Preschool and Nursery has been shortlisted for Individual Nursery of the Year at The National NMT Nursery Awards 2026!

After winning Preschool of the Year at the Nursery World Awards last year, being recognised nationally again means so much to our whole team. ❤️

A huge thank you to our amazing staff, children and families who make Fairfield Preschool and Nursery what it is.

Over the years, Fairfield Preschool and Nursery has grown into a place we are incredibly proud of.

Being named Preschool of the Year 2025 at the Nursery World Awards was an incredibly proud moment for all of us. 🏆

🏫 We have seen a recent post highlighting an important point, and we completely agree. 💛

Attending a preschool or nursery attached to a school does not automatically give your child a Reception place. School admissions are based on each school’s published admissions criteria, not where your child attended a setting.

When choosing an early years setting, look beyond this common misconception.

Ask questions like:
👶 How many children does each adult care for?

❤️ Will my child be truly known as an individual?

🌱 How will my child be supported to grow in confidence and independence?

Every setting follows the same Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. The biggest difference is the people delivering it.

At Fairfield Preschool and Nursery, we choose to invest in our team and maintain staff ratios above the legal minimum wherever possible. More adults means more time for conversations, support, encouragement and meaningful relationships.

At the end of the day, buildings do not prepare children for school. People do.

Choose the setting where your child will feel happy, safe and valued. That is where they will thrive. 💙

To us, they’re opportunities.

One day they’re a building site. 🚜
The next they’re a magical potion lab. 🧙
Then a farm, a music station, a pancake kitchen, or a sensory adventure and so much more!🎵🥞🌾

Every tray has a purpose.

Children build language, strengthen fine motor skills, solve problems, explore maths, develop imagination, and learn through hands on play, often without even realising it.

There are no worksheets. No pressure. No limits.

Just meaningful experiences that inspire curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. ❤️

⚽️ A huge shout out to Fairfield Villa FC for organising this fantastic Charity Football Match and Family Fun Day in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

With football, food, games, raffles, a bouncy castle and plenty to keep the children entertained, it promises to be a brilliant day for the whole family.

🏅 A Paralympian at Fairfield Preschool!

Our children had the amazing opportunity to meet Paralympian Richard White, who shared his inspiring story of determination, resilience, and believing in yourself. ❤️

We had planned some running activities together, but last week’s heat meant keeping everyone safe came first. ☀️ Even without the races, the children had an unforgettable experience and left inspired.

These are the moments that help children build confidence, dream bigger, and realise anything is possible.

Happy Father’s Day 💙

Today we’re celebrating every dad and father figure in our Fairfield Preschool family.

We’re also holding space for those missing their dad, those who have lost a child, and anyone finding today difficult.

Families come in many forms, but every child deserves love, guidance, and someone who believes in them.

Thank you for the stories, the cuddles, the encouragement, and the countless little moments that shape childhood.
