Our Reception class had an exciting opportunity today as they proudly supervised the start of the excavation for their brand-new outdoor learning area. The children watched with great interest as the work began, asking thoughtful questions and sharing their enthusiasm for the transformation ahead. It’s a thrilling time for everyone, and we can’t wait to see the space take shape and provide even more opportunities for outdoor exploration, creativity, and learning!

We had great fun on the last day of Holiday Club. We played with gloop, made numberblocks with the straws and fell over with laughing at Miss Wards clumsiness with the wooden block dominoes. We made caterpillar fruit kebabs 🐛, spider webs 🕸️ 🕷️ and coffee filter butterflies. It has been a wonderful week for holiday club and we look forward to seeing you again at Easter. 🐣

Holiday club day 4 was lots of fun! We made spin art snails 🐌, butterfly cupcakes 🧁 🦋, we explored bugs in ice 🪱 🐜 🐞🪲 and made Q Tip dragonflies. The best bit was that Ms B bought in her praying mantis for us to look at, and we also got to look at locust and crickets. (Don’t panic no critters escaped 🙂). The children enjoyed observing them and had lots of questions. It’s the last day tomorrow and we are excited to see what happens!

Day 3 of holiday club. We have made glow stick fireflies, bee biscuits and wooden spoon ants 🐜. We also enjoyed the new playground layout and had great fun playing hopscotch and moving in different ways around the circuit!

We had great fun for Day 2 of holiday club. The children enjoyed making chocolate mousse wormery’s 🪱, egg carton butterflies 🦋 and yarn bees 🐝. They also had great fun exploring the mini beast play dough stamps, building with the Lego and constructing with the straws!

Today was the first day of holiday club and our theme this week is ‘bugs’.

We have enjoyed making some tie dye beetles, caterpillar biscuits and ladybirds. We are looking forward to tomorrow’s crafts and activities.
