🌞 Only TWO days to go! Picnic in the Park — Sunday 19th July, 12–4 PM at Catshill Meadow

🧺🌳We’re almost there — the Meadow is getting ready for a brilliant community afternoon full of family fun, great food, and over 20 stalls!

🍕 Food to enjoy: Hog roast, wood‑fired pizza, milkshakes, cakes, and desserts.

🎯 Stalls & activities: Games, crafts, local makers, community groups, and plenty for the kids.

🌿 Thrive Hub: Friendly faces joining us with wellbeing activities and support.

🔥 Important safety reminder:
Strictly no barbecues..... Please do not bring barbecues — the grass is extremely dry and we need to keep everyone safe.

🚫 And remember, this is a no‑alcohol event to keep the day family‑friendly.

We said goodbye to some amazing members of staff this week: Mrs Stacey, Miss Norton, Mrs Wiley and Mrs Cross.

Year 4, we are so proud of you all. What a party on Tuesday! Thank you to all the staff and children for making it the best celebration of your time at Catshill First with Forest Fest. Thank you to all families who came along to assembly on Tuesday to celebrate their achievements. Have a wonderful summer, Year 4. Lots of luck for Middle School.

This week in maths, Year 3 used wooden toothpicks and mini marshmallows to investigate the
properties of 3D shapes. We built 3D structures looking at the edges (toothpicks) and the vertices (marshmallows). It was fun to do ... and we kept some spare marshmallows for later! Tasty maths is the best maths!

Now that the temperatures have dropped to more manageable levels, we expect to see children back in school this week wearing their usual school uniforms. They can wear the summer option of grey shorts or the blue/white gingham dress if they choose to do so.

Children may wear PE kit on days when they have timetabled PE and on the day of their sports day (Tuesday for Nursery, Wednesday for Reception and Thursday for Years 1-4).

On Friday, as it is the Football Penalty Shootout day, children may wear PE kit, sports clothes or football shirts.

Due to the heatwave, parents have the option to collect their child at 1:15pm this week.
Please complete our online form to help us plan our provision. The form was sent to parents via Arbor and should be in your email inbox.

To support them to keep cool, ice pops will be available for children at playtime at 50p each.
