Last night, CMS Choir travelled to Redditch to take part in Redditch Gotta Sing – a fantastic opportunity to perform on stage in front of a large audience.

Our choir members have worked incredibly hard, meeting every Wednesday before school to practise and prepare for this special event. We are so proud of their dedication, enthusiasm and confidence. 🎤🎹

A huge thank you to the event organisers, SSPA, for providing such a wonderful opportunity for our pupils.

As always, these musical experiences would not be possible without Miss Rowell, who dedicates so much of her time to inspiring our pupils and encouraging their love of music.

Year 7 visited Bonterre farm this week and had a jam packed day with various activities. From seasonal soup making, fruit compot making with berries, learning about the plant biology and seed cycle, animal welfare of how to look after animals and planting pumpkin plants.

Big thank you to Miss Marshall for organising such a hands-on trip, the day ran smoothly and everyone came back happy but tired!

Tomorrow 7PCU and 7SW will be going to Bonterre Farm trip, it is non-uniform sensible clothes suitable for the weather with trainers. Bring a packed lunch and drink.

We are proud and excited to share our new CMS Book Nooks!

Each classroom now has its own Book Nook filled with new books for every class to enjoy. At CMS, we love reading and are passionate about promoting a lifelong love of books. We ensure that our pupils have access to a wide range of reading materials suitable for all ages, reading abilities, and interests, with a variety of genres for everyone to enjoy.

Most importantly, we are committed to making reading part of everyday life at CMS by ensuring that all pupils have access to books and opportunities to read on a daily basis.

Tuesday 2nd June - 7PCU & 7SW Year 7 trip to Bonterre Farm.

Thursday 4th June - Year 8 Transition Assembly. Key members of staff from NBHS will visit Year 8 to introduce themselves and discuss what to expect in September.

Tuesday 9th June - Redditch Gotta Sing. If your child is in CMS Choir, they can take part in this years Redditch Gotta Sing. Information has been sent on ParentPay and
epraise.

Wednesday 10th June - Y7 Careers Trip to NEC BigBang.

Friday 12th June- Year 8 will make the trip to NBHS by coach to meet the wider leadership team. Pupils will leave after lunch and make their way by coach, £3.00 each. Pupils will then make their own way home from NBHS, so please arrange this with your child. We will not be providing a coach to collect pupils up and
bring them back to CMS.

Friday 19th June - Houses of Parliment Trip.

Thursday 25th June - Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Modulo Music Trip

Thursday 2nd July - CMS Drama Performance of Annie. Tickets are available on ParentPay!

Monday 6th, 7th & 8th - Year 8 Residential to Malvern
